I just realized that of all the many characters in the comic, Celia has had more wardrobe alterations (and i mean more than just color scheme alterations...she's always bluuuuue :)) than almost every character in the comic...
Her original outfit, the lawyer outfit, the dress, the "do you think he'll like this?" outfit, the current jammy outfit...and she was nude off panel :)

*singing like a little kid* Giant likes Celia Giant likes Celia
LOL
OK my brush with insane theories is over...for NOW!

Although SOMEWHERE I heard that the Giant planned on changing each character's appearance during the course of the strip. So far, Elan has shifted from his Bard outfit to the Dashing Swordsman outfit, and Haley has shifted from brown to black, although I'm not sure if that will be her final outfit.

Most of the rest have had "Art Upgrades," but nothing major. Roy's boots, V's cape, Durkon's holy symbol. I'm not sure if Belkar has ever changed anything at all.

But the OP is right, only Celia changes her outfit every time we see her.

Not sure if it means anything, other than Celia has fashion sense, while the rest are "rough and ready adventurers," who are more interested in practicality over looking good.

I think this is really just because unlike most of the other characters in this strip, Celia is a civilian, not an adventurer. She doesn't wear armor, and every time she shows up in the plot, she's coming from someplace she lives (as opposed to being traveling all of the time). Thus, she can keep a full wardrobe instead of wearing the same clothes day in, day out.

I imagine that if Julia reappears in the story, she will also be wearing different clothes, for the same reason. Remember that she never had the opportunity to change clothes after being kidnapped.

Also, I think Sabine has had more appearance changes than anyone else anyway. Schoolgirl, geisha, regular red leather, black dress (in the Paladin Blues bonus comic), CPPD uniform, dwarven blacksmith, santa costume on the Christmas ornament...and half of those had both demon and human variations!

Celia's civilian status doesn't make a difference here. But we have her changing jobs, in a social setting [where Roy changes outfits too] and now at a time when an unusual outfit has joke potential. In effect she has had several roles here and has had a costume for each.

I had a character who owned a bright pink hat once.
I don't even remember why anymore.

Anyway, on panel nudity only people. If we counted off panel nudity, there would be no point, as no one comes out of the womb fully clothed.

Covered up, heavily censored, doesn't matter. It just has to be on-panel.
Remember, nothing actually exists in that world unless we see it, and only when we see it.

during the wooden forest arc was when V became a lizard, and he/she was nude when the curse was broken on panel, shortly before vaporizing the dragon
when V cast Owl's Wisdom on Belkar shortly after Nale stabbed elan, he got a palette change and began to regret his life choices (thus chaotic good, though one could argue lawful or neutral good as well...the point being he became Good :) for like 2-3 panels)

Ok, that isn't sexist at all. Now if he said "oh, those silly women, they are so concerned about stupid things like clothes...nothing at all like us men."

Fashion commonly (although not always) varies greatly with gender. Thus commenting that a particular concern is more masculine or feminine is not sexist at all.

Even if you want to argue that a particular comment has sexist connotations...calling someone a misogynist is way over the line for a comment like that.

Ok, that isn't sexist at all. Now if he said "oh, those silly women, they are so concerned about stupid things like clothes...nothing at all like us men."It is when he's making an assumption that is not, in fact, gender-relevant. Haley turned down the boots because they were garishly coloured (and incidentally, according to D&D rules, cursed); we've no evidence that she did it because she's female. To assume the latter when the former is self-evident, far more evident than the gender of the one who acknowledges her point with no trace of irony to be seen, is sexist.
