I've been asked by someone to give some quick help with how to use
Fireworks, so I decided to make a basic tutorial Instead.

Cool, I use Fireworks for all my image manipulation and drawing needs.

Just two things though;

The title's Macromedia, not Micromedia (I don't know if that was a typo or a mistake)
Its technically Adobe Fireworks now (not that they've changed anything)

Although I know it's Macromedia, I always spell it with an "i" It's sort of a subconcious thing.
The rest of it is spelling errors that I've just noticed and typoes.

Very basic work there nameless. If you gonna do a tutorial at least cover like 5% of the abilities and things you could do. you did less then 1% there.

You skipped out the pure-draw tools, the are important. (pencil and eraser are my best friends.)
Resize and Reshape tools.
All rectangles.
Layers.
Assets.
Locking objects.
The vector pen. (never got the hang of it, but its very strong.) the vector pen+subselection crosser is a very powerful combination of abilities. (lets you make a shape and edit it by simply dragging dots, and the lines will reform to fit.)

There is SO much more in fireworks.

Which Is why I said the Basics.

I don't find that you really need all of that to make Oot's, only if I'm doing the more realistic stuff.
Although I did forget to mention the Layers...
I might put that In.
