well you're going first. i'm gonna buy a few things as well.

Edit: I'm buying a donkey. Taleron starts the match with nothing in his hands and riding on a donkey in Y10=>Z11.

Standard I reserve the right to buy something in response to your purchases.

well i'll take one fo those sleep arrows and fire at you

Attack: [roll0]
Dmg: [roll1] (non-lethal)

if the attack hits make a Dc 11 will save

Bigmac

That's a hit.

[roll0]

For refs:
I'm hoping that since Taleron is riding on a donkey without a saddle, that when he falls unconcious he will fall off. If not, I think the donkey would try to move to avoid that fight and the movement would cause Taleron to fall since he wouldn't be able to make a ride check. Lemme know what happens.

Very Interesting. Since Taleron is riding a donkey with no saddle, there is no saddle for his unconcious body to stay in, as per the "unconcious while mounted" rules. Since he falls out, he takes [roll0] damage. Since he takes damage, he is prone but now concious. Chain reactions are crazy.

Taleron Round 1

Taleron gets up and makes his way towards the river and jumps in. He swims underwater to U12.

Stats:

He also shifts into his stance of clarity as a swift action.

HP: 21 (2 non-lethal damage)
AC: 19
Effects: Stance of Clarity, Cover from land based attacks for being underwater

well ****, now i gotta use another sleep arrow, what are the rules about firing at someone underwater?

Bigmac

from the srd

Attacks from Land

Characters swimming, floating, or treading water on the surface, or wading in water at least chest deep, have improved cover (+8 bonus to AC, +4 bonus on Reflex saves) from opponents on land. Landbound opponents who have freedom of movement effects ignore this cover when making melee attacks against targets in the water. A completely submerged creature has total cover against opponents on land unless those opponents have freedom of movement effects.

so you want to play underwater do you, i'll shoulder my bow and move to C11 from A11 and end my turn, not really sure if would be able to draw my sword and jump in the water as well if I can i'd like to do that, if not then i'll do it next turn

Bigmac
2008-02-11, 12:00 PM
You should have enough movement to move to C11 and then jump in the water. You can also draw a weapon as a free action as part of a move, so yes, you can make it to D11 with your sword drawn. It will require a swim check though once your in the water.

i wondered about it because i shouldered my bow i didn't drop it, and also, who said anything about swimming? i'll sink to the bottom and walk

Bigmac

Taleron double moves to L6

End of turn.

Stats:

HP: 21 (2 non-lethal damage)
AC: 19
Effects: Stance of Clarity

Corsair420

I don't know what the rules are for Walking underwater but I want to sink to the bottom and walk, so I don't have to make swim checks

Bigmac
2008-02-11, 01:00 PM
You can walk along the bottom at half speed if your're wearing more than 8 pounds of equipment, which I am sure you are.

Corsair420
2008-02-12, 11:12 AM
ok, thats odd, i know i made my move action yesterday? anywya

i'll move from d11 to f9

and i'm pretty sure you would have to make swim checks since you can't breathe underwater

Bigmac
2008-02-12, 01:06 PM
I can't breathe underwater, but you can hold your breath for up to your constitution score if you only take move actions. If you take a standard action, then that takes up another round. Since I have a con of 16, I should be O.K. for a while. Also, I have a swim speed since I am a water orc. I don't need to make swim checks.

Taleron will swim to F7 while drawing his guisarme. He will then attack with his steely strike maneuver.

[roll0] (+2 bab, +6str, +1wf, +4steely strike, -2 water)
[roll1] (This damage is halfed because we are underwater so you only take 7 damage)

Stats:

HP: 21 (2 non-lethal damage)
AC: 19
Effects: Stance of Clarity

well i didn't expect you'd be able to do much so i'll just wait till you have to surface, i've never been to good with movement, so how far can i move in the opposite direction with a dbl move, since you'll have to surface next round? i want to go past you towards the side you started on

Bigmac
2008-02-12, 10:41 PM
Each square of water counts as double movement cost (10ft of movement for each 5ft square, or 15ft movement if you go diaganol). Assume you can walk out of the water for now, so once you reach land you can move normally. I'm not going to figure out your movement for you though, that's up to you.

Corsair420
2008-02-13, 02:32 PM
that'll be enough, grid movement just confuses me most of the time
i don't feel like provoking AoO so i'm just gonna attack since you have to surface.

5 foot step into range to f10, then attack with my longsword

Attack: [roll0]
Damage: [roll1]

Bigmac
2008-02-13, 02:44 PM
I'm assuming that you moved to F8 and attacked since you can't attack from F10. I'm in F7.

Does your attack take into account the -2 from being underwater? If so then it hit and did 3 damage (slashing and bludgeoning damage is halfed underwater), otherwise it missed.

Kaldar will take a 5ft step to G6 and attack again. Taleron will also expend his psionic focus to add additional damage dice. He will use a swift action to recover his maneuvers while attacking.

[roll0] (+2 BAB, +6str, +1WF, -2 water)
[roll1]
[roll2]

Since the damage is halfed, I'm pretty sure I hit you for 13 damage, which should be enough to drop Tezx.

And that as they say is that.

you said you can stay underwater for as many rounds as ur con modifier? which means you would have had to surface before your attack

Bigmac

I said CON score, not modifier. I also said I should be O.K. for a while.
