I believe it's just reference to that (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Mikey).

Of course, I can be wrong, as I'm not from USA, so I've never actually seen this commercial. But that's what I got when I googled "mikey likes it".

Actually, it's a reference to an old commercial in the 1970s for Life cereal, where a kid named Mikey (who "hates everything") tries and enjoys the cereal.
