This made me lol. It's the first time I've gotten the Nigerian money scam and the funniest part is it came to my SCHOOL mailbox. I've had email accounts on AOL, Yahoo, Netscape, Gmail, among others since I was, like, 14. This is the first one I've ever got.

I officially belong to teh internetz!

Cheers,
Syka

Congratulations. When I saw the topic title, I thought I'd best drop a Blackadder quote in here. :P

"I trust you had a pleasant inheritance. Did I say inheritance? I meant journey. If you'd just like to help yourself to a legacy- I mean a chair..."

Congo rats!

Well the one where some prince wants to give me a million if I help him out because he knew my uncle or something pops up every few months. I'm just amazed it's still going around, that it even has a hope of working now. :smallconfused:

I'm just shocked it came to my school email. oO Then again, there was a phishing scam a couple weeks back, which I avoided...We now have in big red letters on the log in page "DO NOT GIVE ANYONE YOUR PASSWORD"...

...so evidently my schools email is less secure than Gmail. Sweet. :smallsigh:

I got these a lot at 1 point. A few days ago, I got some which supposedly came from the Natinal Lottery Commission (or something like that), even though I've never brought lotery tickets online. I reported them as spam, and they stopped after a couple of days.

I knew someone who got one of these and responded pretending to be an Amish preacher so he could get their adress and report them to the police.

The scammers eventually got suspicious and stopped responding.

I just report these things before deleting them in case the people who are responsible can make viruses.
