Full Attack: 2 claws (Damage D6+str)
Space/Reach: As Creature
Special Attacks: Black Touch
Special Qualities: Damage Reduction 10/Bludgeoning and Silver, Darkvision 120ft, Darksight 30ft, Turn Resistance+4, Partially incorporeal, Discorporate, Undead, Enshroud, Immune to Cold, Lightning Polymorph and Mind affecting attacks, Vulnerable to Light
Ability Modifiers: Dex +2, Con -, Int +2, Cha +2
Skill Bonus: Liches have a +8 racial bonus on Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Search, Sense Motive, and Spot checks. Otherwise same as the base creature.
Environment: Dungeons, city sewers, ruins
Organization: Solitary
Challenge Rating: as creature +3
Alignment: Any Evil
Advancement: by class
Level Adjustment: +4

Darksight: A Shadow Lich can see perfectly in pure darkness, regardless of what created it. This includes Colour, shades, and fine detail.
Partially incorporeal: A non-magical attack against a Shadow Lich Suffers a 50% miss chance, a magical attack from a weapon, or spell only suffers a 20% chance of missing. The creature also gains a deflection bonus on its armour class equal to its charisma modifier. Force, Positive energy and ghost-touch attacks Bypass the miss chances and deflection bonus altogether.
Any attacks made by a partially Incorporeal Creature are treated as incorporeal Touch attacks.
Discorporate: As a Full Round action a shadow lich may enter the plane of shadow. This ability may not be used in an area of bright light. The Shadow lich may return from the plane of shadow using an existing gate, or any spells that it knows.
Enshroud: Bright Light is reduced to Dim light in an area of 100ft around the Shadow Lich, and Dim Light is extinguished completely. Sufficiently powerful Light spells (sunbeam, Sunburst, any Light spell of 4 or higher) suppress the Enshroud ability, and negates the Shadow liches partial incorporeality and Black Touch for D4+1 Rounds.
Vulnerable to Light: Light Spells that deal damage inflict 50% more damage to a shadow lich.
Black Touch: Once per round a Shadow lich may inflict a melee touch attack that deals D6 points of strength damage to a living creature. Use of this ability restored 5 hit points to the Shadow lich

Phylactery: A Shadow Lich’s Phylactery must take a form of a Ring, or Gate, which the Shadow lich uses to return after reforming in the plane of shadow. Otherwise it is identical to a normal lich’s Phylactery.

A shadow Liches phylactery serves as a link and gateway to the plane of shadow, bonding its place of residence to that dark plane, creating an overlap. Should it be moved, it ceases functioning untill it has been left in one place for D10 days, when it re-atunes itself to the plane of shadow and forges a new overlap. The shadow lich who's soul is in the phylactery reforms in the plane of shadow, in the area that the phylactery is attuned to D10 days after that, should he have been destroyed.

In the general locality around an attuned shadow Phylactery (surrounding wilderness, or city) shadows seem deeper and lanterns do not shed as much illumination as they would elsewhere, things almost seem to move in the shadows leading to a general feeling of paranoia and fear amongst yokels.
Whilst this doesn’t really have any effect beyond a general creepy feeling of being watched, it adds to the atmosphere and has an unsettling effect on the party, especially if they do not know what is causing it.

formating would help alot......bolding and following how it is presented in the MM will make this alot easier to judge, but at a glance, it looks good

First off I'm thinking +5LA is too high, maybe cut it down to +4.

When the go to the plane of shadow, you should add they can go back. Also can the use this ability indefinitely?

When enshroud reduces bright light to dim light, does that allow the use of the Discorporate ability?

Does this template increase all current and future hit dice to d12s?

Hopefully I can get back with more suggestions later.

ok, updated with suggestions included.
also added Vulnerability to sunlight.

the enshroud ability would allow for using the discorporate ability, unless it gets shut down by a sifficiently powerful Light based spell, i guess. :smallcool:
