I rather enjoy the music video for Keep Forgetting (http://youtube.com/watch?v=LqYYqAxgGMg), by the Cinematics.

I'm not a huge fan, but some of my friends really enjoy Read a Book (http://youtube.com/watch?v=rN2VqFPNS8w)'s music video.

This (http://youtube.com/watch?v=yRmqZRPgK1w) Indian music video is in all ways amazing.

I think Empty Walls (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZSKvSz1roQ&feature=PlayList&p=2D960DF495F6D1E2&index=2) has a pretty weird music video, once you really pay attention to it.

I like Dio's "Holy Diver" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=bkysjcs5vFU) video because (1) it's a medieval fantasy-esque video for a classic metal song, and (2) it's freakin' Dio!

Blind Melon's "No Rain" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=qmVn6b7DdpA) video (or, at least, the Bee Girl) is classic.

Also, it's things like this that make me wish I had been old enough in the '80s to listen to the music - "Rhythm of the Night" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=-7T4FuJJO1E) by DeBarge

Possibly the worst video of all time is the one for Journey's "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=bQbZRMLKozk) - honestly, air synth? :smalltongue:

Tool's videos all scare me - it freaked me out even more when I saw them live and the entire stage was made up of screens showing the videos! :smalleek:

EDIT: Just remembered this one - Paul Simon's "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard" (http://youtube.com/watch?v=O859wd7H6h8) has more cameos than any I've seen, and is a great song, too!

Johnny Cash - Hurt (http://youtube.com/watch?v=SmVAWKfJ4Go) An awsome song, much better then the NiN version, also the last thing Johnny Cash did before he died. Its sad and powerful.

YTPMV - Dr. Ivo Robotnik: It's From the Show (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ezfotv37jBQ) Also very catchy...

Hot Cold Sodas and Cold Hot Popcorn (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Y6NU9RWqpe8) Another stuck in my head YTPMV

"Fashion Zombies" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4tw6vBbwVY) is perhaps the best music video by The Aquabats.

"Ana Ng" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dQLkxz6c2E) for classic They Might be Giants weirdness.

"Shut Me Up" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIYhbRiuVK0) video by Jhonen Vasquez and song by MSI, need I say more?

"Sweep the Leg" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFlQNtL8F9s) is a nice twist on the Karate Kid by No More Kings.

"Secret Satan" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=De8ykmm_2_o) by Karkis is the funniest metal video since Tenacious D.

"Hiphopopotamus vs the Rhymenoceros" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FArZxLj6DLk) is one of the best videos to come from the Flight of the Conchords' HBO special

Umm... I'm guessing it's a combination of:

a) They put apes or monkeys of some description into almost everything they do.
b) Everything's Better With Monkeys. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EverythingsBetterWithMonkeys)
c) It's a cool name.

There was once (in the 60s) a pop-rock group called "The Monkeys".
They were like a modern tim eboy band, with lot's of singles and videos on whatever music tv channel / program they had back then.
The thing about them was that they didn't play the instruments themselves. A group of proffesional studio musicians reorded everythign for them, and they jsut acted like playing and lokked pretty on the tv-screen, making a high selling supergroup.
The Gorillas have the same, only using drawn characters. I think there might be a connection
