I’m normally a fan of off-beat game design, so when I saw a screenshot of Patapon I decided to reserve it if for no other reason then to get some use out of my psp.
With the reservation I received a 30-90 min demo, which turned out to be rather impressive.
While simple graphically, the art and animation are rock solid and conveys an extraordinary amount of character. The controls were fun and intuitive, and the overall game play was addictive.
I would highly suggest anyone who enjoys rhythm games to check it out. The final release price is only $20 U.S. and the demo may contain special (demo-only) items that can be carried over into the actual game.
Has anyone else out there in the playground had some experience with the game?
