sorry about the double post, does the damage from the bag only work if he accepts the -4 for using it as a improvised weapon?

I don't remember seeing a damage chart anywhere, but the hulking hurler is in Complete Warrior. More to the point, assuming that you allow a weapon that weighs up to a person's maximum load to be used, whoever is carrying this thing around needs a Strength score of something like 75.

Treat it as a club of the appropriate size?

What is he holding the money in....I don't think normal bags could hold that much gold. On the same note how is he swining the bag much less carrying it. His strength would have to be like 60 or something.

Edit...ninja!!!!

actually that weighs about 1462150 lb. To slowly drag that weight behind you would reqire stupidly high strength, about 60.

This is madness coupled with foolishness.

Edit: yeah, double ninja'd

Also the idea's stupid. It would make a terrible terrible weapon. Size and Strength issues aside, even assuming you could attack with it, it's vast wealth in a bag. So what happens if, say, it bursts. Or someone grabs it off you. Or (amusingly) someone sunders it.

really i though that gold was 1/100th its weight, and catpin (the PCs user name) is a huge gerillan (or how every you spell it), and he has 38 strength.

a magic money bag, but sundering would be to easy, i gotta try that today.

I think even if you play with gold as 1/100th of a pound, the most weight a 38Str character can only drag 28000 lb worth of weight, which is less than a third of the gold in question.

Well, a Huge club does 2d6 damage; as a 2-handed greatclub it would be 3d8.
Whether Gorillas can use weapons is between you and the catgirls.

he hasnt used it yet, and as you guys where saying yea, it would be way to heavy for him to use at his max heavy load of 19,200 pounds.

thanks for the info.

Okay. Even if it was a magic money bag, it'd be super-duper too heavy, unless it was an extra-dimensional money bag...in which case it would be practically weightless.
Also, be careful about sundering: If an extra-dimensional space is destroyed, everything in it is destroyed, as well. Is Catpin gonna be too happy when you try to play a joke on his money bag and accidently ruin all of his savings, crippling his already broken character?

Firstly, there's a feat that doubles carrying capacity. Second, with a 22 starting strength (assume orc), the War Hulk prestige class for 10 levels, and a total of 16 levels, there's a 46 strength. Add in a +5 inherent from a tome, and +6 from a belt, and we're up to 57. Assume addition of enlarge person (x2, +2 Str), and a Strength of 29 is good for 2800 pounds. Double that for the feat, and we have 5,600 pounds. Multiply that by 4 for each 10 points we raise, 30 total, or 4^3, or 64. Max weight is 358,400. For a thrown object (hulking hurler class), you get +1d6 damage for every 200 pounds your object is past 500, I think, with a weight restriction of medium load, for overburdened heave. Total for Medium load is 238,848 lb. 1st 500 pounds is 4d6. Remaining weight is 1,191D6. Str bonus is +24. Total damage is 1195D6 + 24, if thrown. Average damage is 4,207. If taking the hulking hurler ability to allow for easy hitting with a relex for half, average damage on a passed save would be 2,104.

In fairness, when I opened this thread, I thought it was about advanced incorporeal undead. That's far more interesting than heavy rocks.
