So, how about a thread to write down memes as you find them, provide links, and make sure everyone is in on it. This is totally media since all memes seem to result from some sort of Memetic Mutation (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MemeticMutation) of traditional media.

So go on and post, and posit the origin of said meme, if you'd like to take a guess.

A currently emerging meme is the line "I drink your milkshake" from the movie There Will Be Blood; go on YouTube to find the scene (and about fifty re-edited versions with "My Milkshake Brings All the Boys to the Yard" playing over it). However, it seems like people are trying too hard to make it a meme, and it's from something mainstream, so it seems rather unlikely that it'll ever acquire true viral memedom.

That's where we got the term "image macro" and the "All your base are belong to us" meme, along with a bunch of others that I can't think of right now. If memory serves, most come from either /b/ or SA, with a few trickling out from Fark every now and then. Eric Bauman steals most of them for his website and the rest will show up on every forum sooner or later.
