Mainly, I'd like to know if this is balanced as a 6th level vestige. I used the articles on the WotC site as a guideline but I'm not 100%. If it's not, any suggestions on adjusting it to 6th level would also be appreciated.

ARDJUNA
Once the Golden Protector of the Five Kingdoms, Ardjuna’s work has been buried beneath the dusts of time. Ardjuna lends those with whom he agrees to pact control over fire, prowess in creating arms and armor, and abilities in combating the undead.

Vestige Level: 6th.
Binding DC: 32
Special Requirement: Yes.

Special Requirements: Ardjuna will refuse to bind with any character of if they possess an evil alignment, are undead, or have the rebuke undead class feature. Additionally, he will only appear during combat if the Binder is combating creatures that possess the undead or construct templates. He can be bound outside of combat normally.

Legend: Few Bards still sing songs of the great Golden Wyrm Arjuna once called Defender of the Five Kingdoms and the Golden Peace. It is rumored that binders only learned of Ardjuna when one came into possession of a talking quarterstaff.

Ardjuna was an enormous, kind, and peaceful gold dragon. However, he also knew that evil walked the world and those pure of heart could never be safe for so long as it did. So Arjuna fought, tirelessly, for centuries. Soon, he realized that he alone could not protect everyone within the five kingdoms so deep in the heart of a fiery mountain in the north he established a forge and requested the greatest smiths of the Five Kingdoms instruct him in the art of crafting magical weapons and armor. Ardjuna worked tirelessly creating thousands of objects of craftsmanship unseen before of since. It was said that every good noble of the time wielded a sword of Ardjunas make and that that any good creature who ventured to his forge would be gifted the most wonderful weapons and armor, so long as they pledged to use them combating evil.

As time passed though, weapons fell into the very hands of those Arjuna made them to save. A good hearted noble gifted a sword would use it to protect the innocent his entire life but his greedy son would keep it to oppress those very same people. As the generations wore on Arjuna also deciphered two more patterns. Many of the more savage and evil races were motivated by the years of bloodshed. They continued to attack the Five Kingdoms to avenge their ancestors. An endless cycle of bloodshed existed. Ardjuna gave up making weapons that killed and destroyed those he still had in his possession turning his arts instead toward those that could be used in defense but that would not continue the cycle. The second thing Ardjuna deciphered was that there were powers that encouraged the conflict and evil. The undead and those that created them. He deemed these creatures irredeemable and additionally crafted weapons designed to destroy them.

It is not known how Ardjuna became a vestige or how he met his eventual fate on this plane. All that is known is that one day he simply left his forge and flew south. Soon after the five kingdoms shook as if in the grip of a terrible earthquake. Castles, temples and shacks alike were rubble in moments. Nothing more is known.

Manifestation: Ardjuna first appears over his seal as a great golden eye. Around the eye are nearly transparent scales, discernable only by the hazy golden color discernable. After a moment, the eye blinks and the seal is filled with a curtain of white hot flames; the flames part and a simply dressed male of the same species as the binder steps through the opening. Ardjuna speaks in a calm voice and wears a sad smile through the making of the pact.

Sign: The binder's eyes turn the deep golden color of a great wyrm gold dragon.

Influence: A binder under the influence of Ardjuna will be calm and abhor violence always seeking to first avoid a conflict through diplomacy. The binder will feel drawn to act as mediator in any conflicts they witness as well. The one exception is the undead. When confronted with the undead which he will attack on sight if he is aware of their nature.

Granted Abilities: Ardjuna grants you skill at the forge, control of fire and in combating the undead.

Breath of the Golden Wyrm (Su): Once per round as a standard action you may breathe a 30ft cone of fire (Refhalf). The cone does 1d6 fire damage / 3 Binder levels. Any creature up to Medium-size who takes damage from the cone is pushed back 1d6 squares and falls Prone (RefNeg, SR applies). If the target strikes a solid object, he/she stops, takes 1d6 damage per 10’ moved, & falls Prone.
Note: the movement does not generate an Attack of Opportunity.

Claws of the Exalted Maker: Anyone bound to Ardjuna gains use of the feat Craft Magical Arms and Armor and a +5 bonus on any checks relating to the manufacture of weapons and armor. However, this benefit does not apply to attempts to create items with the Unholy property or any items requiring a spell with the [Evil] descriptor to create.

Bane of the Irredeemable: Once every five rounds as a standard action you may surround yourself with a 20 ft. emanation of superheated gas charged with energy harmful to the undead. This ability functions as the spell Undeath to Death with a caster level equal to your binder level but also does 1d6 damage for every two binder levels. Half of this damage is fire and half of it is positive energy.

Weapon of Peace: As a full round action you may summon to your hand a +1 Flaming, Merciful, Ghost touch quarterstaff. The staff remains until dismissed or it leaves your hand. If you ever lose touch with the staff it collapses into a pile of dust.
