In the latest DnD podcast (ep. 20), when discussing familiars, they mention how some familiars are very involved, and some pop in and out of existance, "like that Order of the Stick comic strip". Further proof that they read OOTS. (Course, we have other proof, such as a foreward written by a WoTC staff member.)

Refresh my memory. Which WotC staffer wrote a forward?

Keith Baker wrote 'The Gleaner'. Not so much a foreword though.

The Order of the Stick: Dungeon Crawlin' Fools has a foreward written by James Wyatt, a D&D Designer.

It would appear that Blackwings plight has finally reached our shady overlords...

Keith Baker is a contractor. And as stated, James Wyatt (a regular WotC employee) wrote the foreword to the first OotS paperback.

Thanks. I knew it wasn't Baker (as was said, he's a freelancer). I just couldn't place my finger on it.

Neat. So, what are the spooky dark wizards doing about it? removing familiars, because no one uses them? or making them better and more importaint?
