Arena Tournament, Round 29: Xantaal vs. Heleroen

Extra notes: Houses are on average 20 feet high (just use that average figure all over the house), hay piles are up to 10 feet high against the walls. And, I don't care whether you're immune to sanctuary effects, you are not immune to the arena's sanctuary effect. Creatures summoned during the 1st round are also affected by the sanctuary effect.

ok question.. i do believe unless you have precise shot that i would have soft cover hiding behind my skeleton. and that would give me a bonus to AC, which would make that 12 miss. this is the first time it would matter... do you know or should i call a ref? http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/combatModifiers.htm

Couple points of note:

@Xantaal:
You've not taken into account the False Life spell you cast in round 1. That spell grants 1D10+1 temporary HP, not 11. To clarify that, the roll is:
[roll0].

These are deducted first, and may change the legality of other actions, so I'll edit the next part in.

Now, your opponent's attack in round 2 reduced you to HP: 6/6 Temp Hp: 4.
Your opponent's attack in Round 4 reduced you to HP: 6/6 Temp Hp: 2.
Your opponent's attack in Round 5 reduced you to HP: 0/6 Temp Hp: 0
You then took a 5 foot step to B11 and cast an inflict spell to heal yourself. Since you were disabled, you took 1 hp damage at the end of the action. Your current HP are now 4.
You then took 2 points of further damage from the final attack, reducing you to HP 2. You do benefit from soft cover, granting you the miss.


Soft Cover does apply. 2nd attack does miss.
