Eh. Nuts to buying stuff. Don't want to be disqualified again.

Actions will be posted after my test.

@Refs:

Start in O21, crossbow in one hand. Move to O16. Hide. Ready an action to manifest Mind Thrust on Lichen should Lichen come within range (auditory effect will be centered on the target, not Jim).

Done. Ah, crap. Forgot to roll.

For the refs:
I'll start by making a listen check [roll0] and depending on what the result of that is I'll continue with a plan of action.

Also a question - How difficult would it be to open a door using a grappling hook?

Stats:
Current Location: L-5
HP: 8
AC: 18 FF: 14 Touch: 14
Saves:
Fort: +2
Ref: +6
Will: +1

Grrr.... stupid bugs....

For the Refs... again:
Listen: [roll0]

Edit: Not done yet.

@Bishop

You heard your opponent enter the barn, though you are uncertain exactly where.

As to the door and the grappling hook: If all you want to do is hook a part of the door and pull it open while the door is still open it would be a normal use rope check for securing a grappling hook.

You cannot however use a grappling hook to open a closed door, or use it to shut the door (as you can only pull not push).

For the refs:
I'll use a free action to drop my tower shield (unless I can start with it on the ground anyway or in a "locker" somewhere) move to H-6 and use my grappling hook to open the barn door.
Use Rope: [roll0]

Stats:
Current Location: L-5
HP: 8
AC: 18 FF: 14 Touch: 14
Saves:
Fort: +2
Ref: +6
Will: +1

Edit: Done =D

refsReactive spot for Jim seeing the grappling hook. [roll0] -5 for distance, -12 diminuative (scroll sized) = fail

lichen
You can leave items in the bank, but it has to be marked on your character sheet before a match is posted, or stated in the match before your first move. Since you made the listen check, you started the match with the shield. Dropping it as a free action is no problem.

You succeed at opening the door the rest of the way.

No LoS

jimYou see the northern door fly open. No LoS

first person to post is going to win here unless the other person posts in the same day.

Lichen wanders out of the arena and back to the locker rooms, collecting his shield along the way. :smallsigh:
