View Full Version : Sudden Metamagic + Metamagic Spell Trigger

I asked about this on another metamagic thread but no one responded. Odd, considering the amount of abuse this combo might create...

Sudden Metamagic doesn't increase the casting time or spell level, but can only be used 1/day. Metamagic Spell Trigger allows you to add any metamagic feat you know when using a spell-trigger item. So...

1) Does using a spell-trigger item count towards your 1/day limit?

2) Since the level adjustment for Sudden Metamagic is zero, then no extra charges are expended?

If so, then you can Sudden Maximize every single spell in a wand or staff every time you use it essentially for free?
