MURDER!!!!!!! (ROUND 1 full)

has anyone played the murder game in the message boards? i remember it but i cant find it anywhere so i decided to start a new one.

the first 10 people to post will be the players, it is played in all of the SMBG and the Town.

the rules are as follows:
i will give you the name of another player, you will try to "murder" that player by saying so no more than 2 posts after your target. the catch is anyone and everyone can witness the murder, if so than your intended target is still dead but you are jailed for a day, which means you cant commit a murder for 24 hours but you can still be killed (please be honest people) when you kill someone you get their target, if your the lat one standing you win and you are automaticly in the next game (if you want to be)

also when you kill someone PM me with the link so i can verify it and i will PM you and your target to inform of the verified kill. same goes for jailing

if any one remembers other rules from befor please let me know.

I'm in! But I'd keep it out of Town if I were you. I think last time the game became very confusing because people were posting murder game kills in Town threads and other Townies were pointing it out in confusion and it made it impossible to kill someone undetected.

Either way, I'll happily play.

i was the unfortunate murderer who was in the midst of the confusion. its funny cause i won that round also, but i was put in jail, assassinated and beaten up by people not involved, people who were not involved in the town were getting away with it, and it was a royal mess. bad bad bad idea to put it in the town, with other role-playing things going on.

advice from the one who supagoof had to defend.

As for playing 'in real life' I was actually talking about a pre-LARP event where you could 'stab' someone with a dagger as long as nobody caught you, you could put a sticker on a drink and it became poisonous or you could use your bomb stickers on things (such as people's tents, chairs etc) and if used/sat on/opened it blew the person up - very good game!

Also there is Streetwars and if you've never played it look it up and join if there is a game close to you - one of the most exciting/tiring 3-4 weeks of your life..........if you survive that long!!!

Anyway - not many places left.........bring on the stabiddy murder!

I would like to join if there is any room left also I think that a cool would be if you kill them in Stabbity Death that you don't go to jail because well everyone is killing people there and it wouldnt seem all to out of place.

also im not sure if this is a good idea but let me check with other people: if someone is dead should i put an x by their name or just not let anyone know that they are dead? masked llama brought up a good point, so i wont mark people dead untill the time that their murderer is discovered (if that ever happens)

I think maybe we should attempt to restrict this to out of the Stabbity Thread, the other forums than SMBG, also to attempt to kill the person under a recent post (so that no one dies before they even get a chance to play :o), and killing people on this thread would be funny, but I think it is a OOC ~_^

generally its done by saying kill or die in a hidden style like using white color.
for example in the compliment thread, if Joosbawx was your target

Joosbawx is an excellent friend for me to stab repeatedly

or using caps

Joosbawx Deserves to live in the thIrd werEwolf game.

The D-I-E are all capitalized.

Also in the past, the actual Murder thread has been off limits for killing.

yes Newbie in the Playground has been caught murdering Gnome Barbarian. he is jailed untill tommorow at 11:00 (approxymently(sorry cant spell) 24 hours after he was discovered

In the previous games there would be prizes for: last man standing, most murderpoints and most detective points

LMS only would just be based on luck and time-zone, also, it would promote keeping your posting (and with that your risk) to a minimum.

you know, for while this game was the basis of the assassination rules in The Town.

Then we changed them a bit, so catching the assassin would have some degree of difficulty.
