I'm pretty much just messing around so I'm not going to make a table just yet.
What do you guys think of this for class features? It's just an idea I got. It seems like there's quite a lot of possibilities for versatility.

Levels : Class Feature
1 : Players chooses 1 0-level spell, the character can cast it at will
2 : Players chooses 1 1-level spell, the character can cast it at will
3 :
4 : Players chooses 1 2-level spell, the character can cast it at will
5 :
6 : Players chooses 1 3-level spell, the character can cast it at will
7 :
8 : Players chooses 1 4-level spell, the character can cast it at will
9 :
10 : Players chooses 1 5-level spell, the character can cast it at will
11 :
12 : Players chooses 1 6-level spell, the character can cast it at will
13 :
14 : Players chooses 1 7-level spell, the character can cast it at will
15 :
16 : Players chooses 1 8-level spell, the character can cast it at will
17 :
18 : Players chooses 1 9-level spell, the character can cast it at will
19 :

This is, of course, not a completed class. I have an idea of how I would put this into use, but it is this specific idea I want feedback on.

Thank you in advance for all thoughts and input.

look at the warlock in CArc. it is similar.

I would have to say this could work with some tweaking. Allow it to get more speels to cast at will. Such as-
Number A day - Spell Level
3-0
3-1
3-2
3-3
2-4
2-5
2-6
2-7
1-8
1-9

This allows 22 spells to be able to cast, without too much over-powering.

This is not only a promising class, but has inspired me to make my own class. Good on you, I say.

Seriously, look at the warlock, its basically this exact idea.

Note, warlocks are really limited and their main feature makes them 1-trick ponies.

9th level spells? AT WILL?

Player 1: I pick Shapechange.

Player 2: I pick Time Stop.

Player 3: I pick Force Cage as my 6th level spell, Aviscular Mass as my 8th level spell, and Power Word (Kill) as my 9th level spell. I'll Forcecage them, and then take down half their hp each round (with no save) until they're below 100, when I'll kill them (no save).

DM: WHY GODS! WHY ME?

See the issue? It might work...if you have a list of available spells.
