Does anyone know if there are any rules laid out somewhere for inebriation?

Beyond Dead Alewives' 'roll the dice to see if I'm getting drunk', that is.

Alcohol is a poison that causes wisdom damage.

The DC and amount of damage depends on how strong the alcohol is.

Would it convince you that you'd scored higher on Cha-based checks than you actually had, as well?

There's this nifty book called Portable Hole Full Of Beer, which among other things addresses this.

The 3.0 Arms & Equipment Guide has rules for intoxication.

Basically, Fort Save, failure cuase Dex and Wis damage.

Fort save, you say? It would certainly suck to be figher with a higher fort save than the alcohol's DC. Or ever worse a barbarian, what with the really high con and the whole rage thing.

The DC should increase by +1 for every drink taken, more for more powerful liquor.

You can voluntarily fail a save, you know.
Course, I make my Will save versus it's suggestion effect to drink it at all.

One problem with this interpretation is the recovery time, which will be measured in days.
Some hangover, eh?

Does inebriation also raise the charisma of everyone around you? Would explain some post-party wake-ups.

It drops your spot check. Who needs charisma?

Fort save DC could be cumulative depending on how many drinks you take.
