When developing epic spells, you can expand the range of a spell by 100% for +2 spellcraft DC, would multiple uses of this modifier stack like the multipliers in dnd or like normal math? that is if I apply the modifier 4 times, would the range be 5 times the originial, 16 times?

I think the trick to point out here is that you are not multiplying the amount each time by 2, you're adding a +100% modifier, so you end up with +400% after adding the modifier four times.

It ends up being *5, yea. This is mostly to prevent the numbers from skyrocketing exponentially.

No. It doesn't work that way. The whole "different kind of multiplication" isn't really that hard, but for those who don't understand, they have been creating errata to say +100% instead. If the spell range is 30ft and you add +100% it's 60ft, +100% again is 90ft, 120ft, 150ft. Epic Spellcasting is already rediculous enough as it is... :smallyuk:

Oh. Well I guess my plans to make a spell to hit any spot on the globe with a permanant dominate spell dosen't work.

(If it worked exponentially you can cover the globe just by doubling range 19 times from the original 75 ft)

You can always ritual it

Summon caster monsters to help you ritual cast. Make a ritual that PERMANENTLY summons more caster monsters. Wsh, rinse, repeat, until you have nigh infinite permanent casting buddies. Problem solved

Well It's actually a psionic character with epic manifesting.

And it's a thrallherd. So I have a small city full of followers (yes, they all live in a small city, my main character rules it), since quite a few of them are also thrallherds.

So I have an estimated -1000 DC by using mass rituals.

you could always burn XP or have a costly material component or increase casting time to lower DC
