I'm between 434 and 435. Xykon is really funny in the first, and the two little devils and the angel twitching his eyes in the second are a classic.

I guess it'll be Xykon again, so 434.

...and he kept voting for 435, again and again... It's a comic, it's supposed to be funny... Why is it so funny?

I'm not particularly a Belkar fan, but none of the others were all that outstanding either.

435 I'd have to agree with chronos

435 is one of the funniest Belkar strips there is, and I like Redcloak in 431 -- some nice background on his plan, plus his usual dry humor. But I also really love the revelation of the crown Xykon stole in 434, and poor Roy's reaction.

Hmm...

I'm gonna have to go with 434 since it's so relevant to Roy's vendetta against Xykon, which drives so much of the story. Plus it's funny as hell.

I'll join the chorus. (435) Amoral Dilemma it is.

The ending of (432) is awesome, and great, but it doesn't fully make up for how random-in-a-not-so-funny-way the coconut oil half-episode was.

(434) is classic Xykon, but just didn't have a killer punch line.

Whereas (435) has a very dramatic moment, great character development (debatable), a clever twist on a running/classic joke, and I thought the ending was hilarious myself.

My vote is for 434.

Well, 434 made it a fight, but I'll go with 435.

434

If only to make it more even :smalltongue:

It's terribly close between that and 435, but, once again, my spirit for a close fight wins me over.

435 Amoral Dilemma, already explain in this topic. Belkar takes this round.

435 Amoral Dilemma

whew... why are they suddenly so hard to chose???:smalleek:

It's a tough call, since 434 and 435 have Xykon and Belkar completely in their respective elements. Belkar does get the better punchline though; it actually made me laugh out loud the first time through.

"Yeah, that Xykon sure is amazing, isn't he?"

435. The evil/more evil gag is hilarious, and it fits Belkar so well. Plus, without this strip, we do not get Sexy Shoeless God of War in 439.

Personally, I don't understand the hate for 432. I think that the coconut oil gag is just moderately amusing, but Hinjo's line in response to it is great.

Strangely, this lot leaves me a little flat. When we were tied up in the storyline, they rocked, but parceled out in little bundles, without the element of surprise - Well, its a good story I enjoyed reading earlier.

Oh well, there's enough in 435 to make it worth a vote in this company.

Delayed gratification vs. Instant gratification, best subversion of the gag I've seen so far.

For once, I am voting with the winner so far: 435.

I can't really see any competition to 435. WHY ISN'T HE JOLLY?!

Okay, so... 431 is brilliant, 432 is funny, 433 is great, 434 is seriously amazing, 435 is freakinŽawesome! Seriously, IŽd happily vote for any of the strips in this round, but Belkar has to win it with the two devils and crazy angel...

435 for me.

Also, kudos for keeping the TSA nice and regular lately, Nazzo

It's 435 just beating 434....and it's the Angel and Jolly comment that wins it here.

I think 431 is the funniest and 435 is the coolest. Since I don't often have a chance to vote for MITD, I will: 431.

Not quite as tough as previous rounds - I couldn't split my vote at all for the previous set. This comes down to a 2-way fight between 434 and 435.

I was edging in favour of the one with the angel (best panel of the set) but am switching and voting #434 for managing to tell its segment in a single page. If the following two pages had been split over two strips, I would probably have voted for the first one.

It's a tough call this time to be sure though, thank goodness I can invent arbitrary rules to help me decide!!

Definately 435. Though, I'm biased. I like Belkar- I even made a "Mii" of Belkar on my Wii.. it looks JUST like him, too. So.. yay 435. ^^.

Belkar 4:35 says I just whooped your ass. The way we started, I'm amazed every strip managed to get at least one vote.

Well, if you thought some of these recent groups were weak, it sure does look like this next round is going to be weak as well. I mean, I don't see a single strong contender (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0438.html) in the bunch. Let alone two (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0437.html). And forget about there being a strip (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0439.html) that could end up winning the Hundred (or more), complete with spawning a nickname for a fan-favorite character.

Edit: I just realized this could be construed as a vote, not as my recap post...

Tough call but I have to settle for 431. Such a nice contrast between Redcloak's brilliance and MitD's childishness.
