I could have sworn that there was a feat that allowed you to treat any weapon that had your race's name in its title as a martial weapon. I.E., one feat that would allow elves to treat the elven thinblade and the elven lightblade as martial weapons. Is there one, or am I crazy?

There's also one in Races of Stone as well. Though, given that the Gnomes already get their Hooked Hammer by default, it's not unreasonable to argue that the feat should be a freebie.

That feat exists for weapons that are not in the core books. Dwarves, for exampe, have 2 or 3 new racial weapons in Races of Stone, but they don't start having familiarity with them.
