Yes, you read that right.
I was poking through a French edition of the SRD and realized that they have different (and better, imho) artwork for all the races and classes. Do I just not read enough splatbooks (and thus miss these illustrations as they appear in them?) Or are these entirely different?

Can anyone else comment on the illustrations in other languages?

Here are some samples.

Some I have definitely seen before. Whisper Gnome, isn't she?

I too recognize the whisper gnome, and that half-orc is the art for the Bloodhound PrC from Complete Adventurer.

I'm pretty certain those dwarves are from Ebberron.

The two humans I don't recognize, but they look good.

The dwarves are the illustration for the Warpriest from Complete Divine.

Damn you, the French! You had better (great, in fact) interior art for the books of the Glorantha: Crucible of the Hero Wars boxed set, too! And the English version art was just thrash.

Twenty years, and the injustice of art still continues!

Of those pictures, the 1st and 3rd are new to me; the 2nd is the whisper gnome (Races of Stone), the 4th is the Bloodhound (Complete Adventurer), and the 5th is the War Priest (Complete Warrior).

French edition of the SRD!? Could you link to what you're talking about? As far as I am aware, all D&D material is translated and repackaged with the same artwork. Is this a third party supplement you're referring to?
