What? Redcloak never heard of foot torture?

He's a dwarf. Dwarvish feet will torture you.

... He's not a dwarf. He's human.
Perhaps Redcloak is saving foot torture for a rainy day.
Forcing someone to swim in acid with boots is actually HARDER than if they took them. And Redcloak was in a hurry to get this started, so he didn't bother taking them off.

The wight can only wear one pair of boots.

Artistic license; O-Chul's character wears boots. Or perhaps, as others have pointed out, they were put on for the 'Will He Live?' challenge and Redcloak did not bother to remove them.
Alternate Answer: You are quibbling over a minute detail of a webcomic consisting of stick figures in a world where DnD rules are on par with the laws of physics. Stop worrying about these things.

I agree; it's artistic. He's already wearing very little, and the boots help give his character some definition. Without them, he'd look "unfinished", I think.

Come to think of it, you're right, but in a different way.
I'd have thought another wight would have sore feet by now.

O'Chul's probably been wearing those boots since hitting puberty. He'd have the worst case of boot feet in the whole OotS-verse. Given that Redcloak has lost his pine-fresh air cleanser he'd prefer it that the paladin keeps his boots on, thank you very much.
