Hey all.

Trying to come up with a build for an impending game my group is going to run. The level is 10 overall, its a pirate themed game at the high seas, using Stormwrack for the base. We are using several of the alternate rules for character creation, with the following caveats:
A single flaw is permitted at level one, so one extra feat is possible.
The Background (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/buildingCharacters/characterBackground.htm) alternate feature is in use, with the background. providing one feat, and two skills from that background at +2 (or one at +4). One background per character.
The Defense Bonus (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/adventuring/defenseBonus.htm) alternate AC is also in use, so no need for full plate builds! :)
Character Traits (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/buildingCharacters/characterTraits.htm) are also in.
32 Point build
49000 GP starting gold for gear, with no more than 12,250 on any one item.

I am really intrigued by a sneaky stabby type this game round. Its only a one off for us, so won't go into an extended campaign (though that has been known to change in our group). I usually play casters, and really want to avoid any magic (i.e. no casting please!) this time round.

I was thinking of a couple different options, and focusing mostly on Swashbuckler / Rogue (with Daring Outlaw) or maybe a Dervish based build. We likely won't go much more than a level or two above our starting at 10, so extended builds are a bit moot.

Any advice?

I'm a fan of Scarlet Corsair from Stormwrack.

It's really hard to beat straight up rogue 10.

Invisible Blade might be worth a look, although the errata nerfed the free action feint. A player played a rogue/invisible blade with lots of ranks in Climb in a piracy-based campaign I ran, and she was an absolute terror. Climb the rigging, throw knives, swing down into flanking position, stab stab, climb back up, etc. Fun as hell.
