Background info
First off, the world is called Tootai. The city you are starting in is skidadle. Long ago, there was a great earthquake (Or should I call it a Tootaiquake?) which seperated the little strip of land skidadle was on, from the mainland by a couple hundred feet.(fig. 1) The crack was so deep, magma was exposed, and meanwhile, water was rushing in, and the crack is still steaming to this day.
Skidadle has grown a mostly isolated culture with some impact due to magic and communication. Later on, a major conquest was lead, with the city of skidadle in its way. Using marvelous feats of engineering, they erected five long bridges and sent their troops to skidadle.(fig. 2)
Of course they were met with a wall, but they reduced is to rubble, only the three center towers remain today. (fig. 3) Many years have passed since then and the city has grown past those three towers with a tourism district in front full of inns and taverns. The tavern owners house is where a tower used to be.

-------------------------------------------------------------
The actual game:
You are all standing outside the Tavern owners house, about to explore what is down the trapdoor and find out who the "little, blue crazy guy" is.

((Put out of character chat in double parentheses, though I might just make an OOC thread. Edit:OOC thread. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4183885#post4183885)))
((The yellow circles are the PC with their initials, the red is for npc/enemies with To standing for Tavern owner. The brown square with a T is the Trapdoor.))
((The background info has been updated.))

The young man seems rather eager to get moving.
"Looks like this is it. I hope everyone's ready for the great unknown? I'm rather excited myself!"

"methinks I should go first, Graarg is tough, Graarg take any punishment dealt by traps on trapdoor or little blue man" Graarg walked up to the door and opened it ,he stepped inside.

The room has wooden walls, a door leading outside, a table in the north, a trapdoor, and a hall in the west. The tavern owner is in the room to greet you.

"Hello my good sir, the little man went down that trapdoor over there."
He points at the trapdoor.

"ok, but stand back......." Graarg took out his greataxe, he walked cautiously towards the trapdoor, grasping the handle he flung it open, ready for anything.

There is a ladder going down, with nothing coming out at all, except a faint glowing light.

Trizap

Graarg called out to the others "good news, no traps at the trap door....somethings glowing down there though.....I'm going to check it out" Graarg climbs down the latter.

Rodaugh, a slight man in studded leather armour, follows Graarg inside. He grins nervously at the tavern owner as he loads a crossbow, ready for whatever the "little, blue crazy guy" and his mysterious trapdoor could throw at them.

Proteus

Glim follows the others into the tavern, waves to the owner, then moves to the trapdoor. He notices the the faint glow. "Hmm, wonder what that could be," he says, grinning. "Only one way to find out!"

Glim then climbs down the ladder.

((sorry, a little late in getting here but I am alive))

Seeing the others file into the building, the heavy set dwarf shuffles in after them.

Well, no sense in hanging about, lets get going!

He promptly drops through the trapdoor, sliding quickly down the ladder and landing with a dull thump on the ground below

((I wont type in dwarvish accents, just imagine them  ))

Graarg, Glim Yonburg, and Kirantos climb down the ladder into a smallish stone bricked room with a door to the west and sacks of grain to the north. The glow is coming from phosphorescent fungus, which conveingently lights your way.

The door is locked, or stuck it doesn't really matter. On it is a riddle though.
The clues here represented one by one,
tells the army what to do.
I breathe, but do not live,
what am I?
I am in the middle of something that
is flatter, what word am I?
Some call me William, but
what do friends call me?
Those are the clues, now
what is it you order me?

Szilard

You search the barrel, but you just can't see anything in it. Just as you are done searching, a Troglodyte armed with a greatclub jumps out at you. Roll initiative.
@Naleh, if you are searching the sacks of grain, you have to search them one at a time and roll a search check for each. Just in case you didn't already know.:smallwink:

Stepping forward, but keeping out of reach of the dangerous troglodyte, Dael summons up a small amount of mystic nature energy and channels it into his fallen companion's body. "You'll be fine my friend!"

Cast Cure Minor Wounds, Kirantos is now at -7 and stabilised.

OOC: If anyone didn't know, characters are -1 to -9 are unconscious and dying and every round lose 1 HP until they die at -10. Every round though, there is a 10% chance of automatically stabilising themselves, if no one helps them. What I did was to give the dwarf some magical healing, and thus he is at -7 and stabilised. A DC15 heal check also stabilises a dying character.

Blue/Bad Guy takes a five foot step forward before blasting the area with sound so high that Glim and Kirantos each take two damage and must make a fortitude save. He then shoots Kirantos with a crossbow (repeating, light) with a roll of 18, and possible damage of 1, and Kirantos needs to make another fortitude save.
Summary:BG took a five foot step, used a standard action, and fired a weapon. Glim and Kirantos each lose 2 hitpoints and must make fortitude saves. Kirantos was shot and lost one hit point and must make a fortitude save.

Fort save: [roll0]

Glim covers his ears seconds too late, and groans as the sound blasts his eardrums. He takes a five foot step forward, pulls a pinch of multicolored sand from his component pouch, and flings it in the direction of the blue guy, and yells "Color spray!" A cone of swirling colors bursts from Glim's at the blue guy. Glim then fires his crossbow at his enemy*.

((OOC: *This post assumes that the ranged attack in my previous post is during this round, as it was never responded to. If I am incorrect, the remove the last line from the IC stuff. Also, current HP=7 and the Will Save DC for Glim's color spray spell is 16 ))

Rodaugh

"We've taken our bows
And our longswords.
We'll find us fame and fortune and everything that goes with it -
We thank you all..."

Taking his cue from the little blue man, the bard fires his crossbow at the blue man's reflection in the mirror.

Everyone should have gotten 120 experiance points from the Trog, so write that in if you haavent already.))

Studded Leather Armor
A Buckler
A Short sword
A repeating light Crossbow with 8 crossbow bolts
And three doses of Greenblood Oil.

The stick is actually a Small Quarterstaff ((Make a spot check)), and the bag has 200 gp, weighing 4 pounds, and Five Gems: A red Garnet, Pink Peral, Blue Quartz, Moonstone, and Obsidion. This is in front of the mirror. You can make Appraise checks on the gems if you want..

Rodaugh

" 'Cause we are the champions -
Of the woooorrllld..."

Concluding his song with Kirantos' final strike, Rodaugh wipes his head with his sleeve, and offers to take a closer look at the bag and its contents. "Wow, that little blue guy is wealthy! There must be, what, two hundred gold in here? Maybe that's why he's here, for a family money vault... Forty gold each," he adds, joining Graarg in the spirit of looting.

After estimating the value of each gem, the curious bard moves to examine the mirror, which, aside from being mysteriously placed in this supposedly abandoned cellar, deflected crossbow bolts and seemed to add to their power.

[roll0] - Appraise (red garnet)
[roll1] - Appraise (pink pearl)
[roll2] - Appraise (blue quartz)
[roll3] - Appraise (moonstone)
[roll4] - Appraise (obsidian)
[roll5] - Spot (staff)
[roll6] - Spot (mirror)

Glim might want the crossbow or the quarterstaff. Also, someone should take that greenblood oil - if nothing else, we can sell it for more money!

Szilard

Red Garnet-110 gp
Pink Peral- 100 gp
Blue Quartz- 11 gp
Moonstone- 60 gp

You do not spot anything unusual about the Quarterstaff.
