Ever spend twenty minutes chuckling to yourself because someone said "Uvula"? Do you find yourself breaking into a grin whenever WoW players begin discussing "pot mastery"? Does learning that a stick is long, brown, and sticky amuse you? If so, this is the topic for you!

Hi, I'm Jonathon (better known as lumberofdabeast), self-confessed Bipolar in the Playground. About ten minutes ago, it occured to me after laughing like an idiot at the guild name <ROFLCERS of the LAWL> that, while I had a topic to go to when I was feeling downright miserable, and needed to vent at someone, I lacked a topic for my lighter moods. Thus, I make this one now.

This topic is for you to share lame jokes, laugh for no apparent reason, or just show off your low Wisdom score for all the world to see.

Oh, and if you laughed at this post, you're Easily Amused in the Playground too! And yes, I was giggling the whole time I was typing this.

Heh, the low wisdom definatly applies to me!

One of my favorite should've-realised-that situation I've been in.

Going back to computer lab after lunch, the four of us. Me, Cat, Captain and Laura. It's locked, so me and Laura decide to go the long way round (downstairs, across the building, upstairs) and in the other way. We do so, and, instead of unlocking the door, I go over to it, lean on it with all my weight and laugh 'let's make them wait a bit.' 'No,' she says 'we should let them in.' 'Go ahead and try.' I challenge her. She leans past me, and turns the handle. It opens outwards. While I was leaning on it with all the force I could muster. Half a second later, I'm looking straight up, on my back, at Captain and Cat. '...hey. So...you two coming in or what?'

Not criticising your thread, it just sounded like you wanted as much humour as you can get. Also I can't be bothered writing out some of the jokes I posted in them >.>
Note: Please don't post in any of these. They're long dead. Let them rest in peace.

Easily amused? Hell yeah.

I giggle at loads and loads of stuff. From talking about bread, to talking about chips. I can get pretty hysterical sometimes *remembers that lesson she had where there was a whole lesson of her twisting everyone's words* *grins*

One time I got upset with a hotel, instead of using the pen provided in the room to leave bad feedback I wrote the word "fail" in a couple of places.

Very "leet" you might think? Using the word fail in that context.

Well, I wrote it on their Electrical Safety Stickers on all their electronic equipment. That'll cause way more havoc.

If you find humour implying womens' bodily functions offensive, then grow up. But yeah, you probably shouldn't read this post until you do. :smalltongue:

I do medieval re-enactment, and needless to say, we do a lot of work making sure that everything we have is correct for the time period.

Unfortunately, I find the word "period" funny (say the man who just told people to grow up). Especially in some of the phrases I regularly hear. Such as:

Period Pants (or trousers for the British among us)
Period Underwear
Period Archery
Period Spoon
Period Dance
Period Feast

...and the list goes on, including my favourite, which has reduced me to giggles on many an occasion:

Period Drinking Vessel.

Oh god, I am so lame.

More amusement fodder, a la the British classicists.

Luxury Yacht (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyQvjKqXA0Y)

The funniest and least appropriate thing ever was when I was in a play with my friend called "Art's Heart" - it was a touching one-man Fringe show about an eccentric gay man with a potentially fatal heart problem. It was the second time I had seen it.

She leaned over to me in one of the most serious moments of the play, while he was describing the man across the street he loved, and whispered the infamous gay slur in my ear.

I almost had to leave, I was bent over stifling my laughter for the rest of the play.
(We're both gay, so we're allowed to say it)

Personally, I find clips of old television to provide endless amusement, especially when from Japan. What's not to like about Monkeys who love to fight (http://youtube.com/watch?v=-gmABsTi1-k)? And who can forget Giant Robo versus Dracula (http://youtube.com/watch?v=NItjsKHJkiA) (to resolve any questions before someone makes a thread about it). Also, Spiderman fails at ninja (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky9Vb7Qr3Dg).

Yup. Oh, yeah.

I once spent half an hour in Geography class trying to make that little white thing in the highlighter cap stay in when you pull the highlighter out.

And I laugh at really odd things and everyone else just looks at me. :smallfrown:

Some of them were really, really funny, though. My friend once read the back of a packet of noodles on camp: "Ingredients: Store above 3 degrees Celsius...wait a minute" and I was rolling on the floor (well almost. Except for the rolling bit). Even the teacher was looking at me weirdly.

@Trog: I laughed when I heard that.

In high school we occasionally got little test things that were meant to give us an idea of whether we needed to get our eyes checked or something (always just seemed like an ad for some brand of contact lense, really). Anyway, one time, a friend and I were sitting in a dead-quiet class, filling in these questionaires. She suddenly started absolutely cracking up laughing. Turns out she'd gotten to this question:
"When walking, do you veer off to the side and run into the person next to you?"

:smallconfused:

"When walking, do you veer off to the side and run into the person next to you?"

:smallconfused:

In all fairness, when you need glasses you do often run into the person next to you. I think it's due to the electromagnetism which you exude, it draws you towards metallic objects, so if you're walking next to someone you are attracted to the iron in their blood. True story.

I got an alien toy once (the lego one...and I mean the alien from the movie of the same name) that had the little mouth that popped in and out.
I was amused for a good 30 minutes straight just poking the mouth in and out.

I'm surrounded by easily amused people at work. Even managers, when we get new stuff in (sweaters, shirts, ect.) will stop whatever they're talking about to wander over, pick things up and go "it's so cuuuuute!". Then forget what they were doing.
Heaven help us if we get shiny or dangly things in.

That alien toy does sound cool... All I have is this folder binder to play with... Heh... Snap... Heh. Much more fun that your new age electromotronic games and whatnot. I'm also playing with my toothbrush and tinfoil, but my favourite is the binder.

Ooo... A bouncy ball... I gotta' get me one of them too... And a slinky! ...I would also get a Rubik's cube but I'm awful at them. Now... How to obtain such a device of entertainment...

I've moved on from the tinfoil now and am busy playing with a screwdriver of some kind. I can balance it on my lip don'tcha' know. It tastes like some kind of steel... Not stainless, but some other alloy.

I found a super-bouncy ball one day, I threw it at the wall, it bounced off and instead of falling to the ground it bounced off another wall and just kept bouncing back and forth, I just kept looking at it until it finally fell to the floor,

but of course.......I did throw it again...............

I have found, thus far, that there are two things in life that make everything hilarious. The first is being drunk, and the second is being tired. I'm not sure why.

But seriously, ever tried watching Zero Punctuation at some silly hour of the morning? It's twice as funny.

Coo'... I wonder if there's a level beyond 'super'... Like an 'Ultra bouncy ball' or something. And the level beyond that would have to bounce off into space or something. That'd be neat.
