Okay, sort of weird idea I had when hunting for a picture of an Imperator Titan... see if you can find one single image that sums up an entire fictional setting.
For 40k (which may well be utterly impossible to sum up with half a dozen cycloramas) what does it for me is a pretty old one: the picture of Imperator Titan vs Mega-Gargant (that would be the 300-metre-tall bright red gothic battle cathedral with a billion skulls for rivets, flapping banners depicting sword-wielding hell angels and a gatling cannon the size of a skyscraper duelling a mobile idol to the gods of brawling which resembles nothing so much as the Scrapheap Challenge land battleship as made and crewed by ten thousand green axe-waving football hooligans on hard drugs, to the layman... tl;dr, it rules.)
I can't find a logo-free, high res image of that damn thing ANYWHERE (and it's probably less evocative than I remember), but here's the tiny cropped version that appeared on the box of the game Final Liberation (http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u320/LBO_photos/box_front.jpg). Another one that I think works really well was a demotivator of a photoshopped real-world tank with a cathedral on top, titled "Kind of like that" (which I also can't find anywhere.)
So, er. Anyone got anything like that?
