Looking for a monster

Is there any monster that generates a sort of 'dead magic aura' around itself? Where no magic works within say 10ft of it?
I have access to MM1-4 and the Fiend Folio.
If there is not a monster that has an ability like this could somebody come up with a good homebrew? My homebrewed monsters turn out badly :smallwink:

Aoa mess with magic; they're in Fiend Folio I believe. Also Flail Snails, maybe in Tome of Horrors? I don't know of any off the top of my head that actually kill magic near them though.

You are definitely looking for a supernatural ability that mimics anti-magic field, I think that is safe to say, but there may be outsiders or caster-monsters with spells or spell-like abilities of the same level that could be swapped for the effect. If a beholder is not too overkill, it's eye-cone works quite well.
