I'm very new to D&D, and I just was hoping for a quick clarification on what what category the different levels fall into with campaigns...

(Example/clarification)

As I understand it...

Lvls 1-4 - low level campaign

Lvls 5-10 - mid level campaign (standard?)

Lvls 10-15 - :smalleek:

Lvls 15-20 - high level campaign

Lvls 20+ - epic level campaign

better safe than sorry, really, so I thought i'd make sure. I figure it's not a good idea to show up to a mid level campaign with a level 3 character, or a low level campaign with an epic one. help? please?

My take on things:

Lvls 1-2 - starting level campaign
Lvls 3-6 - low level campaign
Lvls 7-14 - mid level campaign
Lvls 15-20 - high level campaign
Lvls 20+ - epic level campaign

FYI - Also if you put some idea of what you want in the title you're more likely to get responses.

Also, your DM will tell you what level to make your character. If he doesn't and just expects you to know from a vague description, he's a git.

Levels 1-2 Starting
Levels 1-5 Low level
Levels 6-10 Mid Level
Levels 11-15 High Level
Levels 16-20 Very high level
Levels 21+ Epic

What levels are best depends on you and who you play with.

Level 1-6 - Rising to the challenge: becoming a hero
Level 7-14 - The sequel where everybody gets a little more powerful and some characters get left behind
Level 15-20 - A few sequels into the series where everything has gotten downright silly
