Just a few things I've been putting together. In constructive criticism is appreciated.

The Dragon Knight
The Order of Dragons are a knightly order who have learned to channel the strength, speed, and ultimately, the very elemental makeup of a dragons.
There are two Orders of Dragon Knights. The Order of Bahamut was created to uphold the laws of the world and to be the guardians. The Order of Tiamat, on the other hand, was created as an army of mercenaries for anyone with enough gold to pay. Good fighters and Paladins usually join the Order of Bahamut, while evil fighters and rogues sometimes join the Order of Tiamat. Sorcerers, with their affinity towards dragons, will sometimes join one order or the other, but the martial requirements are quite steep.

Class Features
The Following are class features of the Dragon Knight.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Dragon Knight receives no new proficiency with armor, but becomes proficient with the following weapons if is not already: Ranseur, Guisarm, Glaive, Longspear, Halberd, and Trident. Dragon Knight's use spears and polearms as a symbolic reach of a dragon's tail.

Aura of Awe/Fear: Starting at 1st level, once per day, a Dragon Knight can create a 30 ft aura of power. Any enemy caught in the area or enters the area during the effect must succeed at a Will save (DC 10 + Drgaon Knight Level + Cha. modifier) or suffer the effects based on the alignment of the Dragon Knight. A good Dragon Knight exhibits an aura of awe, causing the enemy to become awed as if rebuked (+2 bonus to attacks against the awed creature). Evil Dragon Knights instead exhibit an aura of fear, causing any creature that fails their will save to fall under the effects of a Fear spell. A Dragon Knight's aura lasts for one round per level of dragon knight and he may stop the aura at any time, though doing so uses up that use of the aura for the day. Beginning at 3rd level, and every other level afterward, the Dragon Knight receives one additional use of the aura per day, to a total of five times per day at 9th level.

Dragon's Affinity: Starting at 1st level, a Dragon Knight may choose either a Chromatic, or Metallic Dragon. The Dragon Knight gains an affinity for the chosen Dragon's energy type as listed below. He gains Energy Resistance 5 to that type of energy.

Red - Fire | Brass- Fire
Blue - Lightning| Bronze - Lightning
White - Cold | Copper - Acid
Black - Acid | Gold - Fire
Green - Acid | Silver - Cold

Breath Weapon[Su] - At 2nd Level, a Dragon Knight gains an elemental breath weapon of the energy type of the dragon he has affinity for. This is identical to the dragon's breath weapon, except the Reflex save DC for half damage is 10 + Dragon Knight Level + Cha modifier. A Dragon Knight may use his breath weapon once per day for each point of Cha modifier he possess's naturally. Only by permanently increase his Cha score can he gain additional uses of the breath weapon. Since the weapon issues forth from the mouth, a Dragon Knight must have the ability to open his mouth. Once a breath weapon is discharged, the Dragon Knight may not use it again for 1d4 rounds. Every other level after 2nd, the Dragon Knight's breath weapon increases in power, to a total of 6d10 points of damage at 10th level.

Dragon's Skin [Ex] - At 5th level, a Dragon Knight's affinity for his dragon type begins to outwardly show. His skin becomes unaturally tough, and he may show an almost scaley complexion. The Dragon Knight gains a +2 bonus to natural armar, and also his energy resistance increases to 10 of the chosen energy type.

Dragon's Friend [Ex] - At 8th level, a Dragon Knight may either treat Chromatic (evil) or Metallic (good) dragons as one level above their normal starting attitude (From Hostile to Unfriendly, from Unfriendly to Indifferent, etc.) and may treat their aligned dragon as two levels higher. However, the opposite type perceives them as a threat, and they start at one level lover than their normal attitude.

Dragon's Form [Su] - At 10th level, a Dragon Knight's affinity finally shows his full potential. He gains the ability to become an adult dragon of the chosen type for up to three hours per week, as if under the effects of a shape change spell. Except that he keeps the greater of his two breath weapon attacks.

Ex-Dragon Knights - A Dragon Knight who revokes the tenants of his Order, or who's alignment changes loses all of his supernatural abilities, but keeps all other abilities. He may regain these abilities if he completes a penance task for the Order and he changes his alignment back to Lawful Good or Lawful Evil. A Dragon Knight of one order may decide to switch alignments and follow the tenants of the other order. In doing so, he must reattune himself with a dragon affinity. Becaus eof his betrayal, he may never again work for the other order. This is a one time decision.

So I hope this works the way I thought. I really wanted to do something that revolves around the Final Fantasy dragoons, but it just didnt make much sense to do, so i kept the polearms in there kinda as a send back to that. Constructive criticsm is always welcome.
