But as FujinAkari says, in SoD the MITD is shown to a circus audience, and xykon calls him an ugly sumbitch, so he's definitely a recognizable creature, not the snarl.

I have a new and impossible theory:

MitD has, in various threads, been theorised to be pretty much anything.
Therkla theories include her being pretty much everyone in the comic, sometimes all at the same time.

This means that, because of some random logic that should somehow make sense, MitD is Therkla.

I think he knows but that suspecion isn't based on fact. On that note I agree with you, we might even finish the comic without finding out what it is.

The Snarl is a creature of pure malevolence "literally born of deific frustration and hostility." If there were a "mini" version of it, shouldn't that being be just a LITTLE bit malevolent? MitD is compassionate, loyal, and wants everybody to have a happy ending.

Plus he's a recognizable monster, but I see that that base has already been covered.
