So... I'm trying out a template. The funny thing is before I even let the character use it (it's Evillll, the solo-er is a LG Cleric), I'm letting them get rid of it without even realizing they had it to begin with.
Of course, now I'm letting the template become a secret villain that was meant for more End-game type action.
So... any stories or ideas on how to make a villain gain strength 'off-screen'?
Because I haven't introduced some of the lesser villains, I have been endlessly workin on them, but I basically have tied my main villain to have a level corresponding to the PC (without the Level adjustment of the template)

Yeah, I'm going for the gusto as a first time DM... sheesh, very little experience and already we visited Celestia and Pelor's Relm (name escapes me for right now). I <3 being insane.

Have the MV sending lakies to recover seemingly random magic items that in reality will build up his power and make him a REAL bad*** that way the PC has a true challenage later down the road if he's a slacker and let's lakies get away.
