Size upping from Mountain Rage

I do not have my book on me at the moment, but I DO recall that the effects of this racial variant grants an additional +2 to Str, -1 to attacks/AC, and extra reach. How do those relate to the mods from going to Large from Medium? Does the +8 Str, -2 Dex, +4 Con, and +2 Nat Armor combo from size not go into effect at all? :smallconfused:

No, they don't. Pretty much the only place where those are used is when a monster increases size as part of advancing its hit dice. And in a couple of poorly-balanced templates that reference 'all benefits of increased size'.. I think half-minotaur and the original half-ogre did that.
