this thread is mostly aimed at players who want to enrich their cleric/ favoured soul/ druid/ spirit shaman/ paladin/ character to whom faith is importent's fluff (that was long!) or for DMs.
what i'm interested in, is tales from the scritpures of faith: parabelles, tales of the gods or saints, lessons, idioms, and so on. basically- anything the priest/ cleric/ druid/ whomever (see above), has been taught, and that s/he might repeat when the occasion is right.
the idea is to create a sort of religious background, the character can draw from, and use in play. ("this is a dire situation indeed. it reminds me of a the Battle of Earth and Sea, where Oman, a devout follower of Obad Hai showed the power of his god in a most cunning way...")
so, if you ever created a story, legend, or wahtever that fits this general conecption, post it here. start by naming the setting, the god/ pantheon, the story, and whether you used it or not...
