Anyone know of a PrC that'll give me Evasion but not kill my caster level?

alternately

What kind of cheese can you pull off with a changeling? They qualify for the War Shaper PrC pretty easily, unless I'm mistaken. Anything else they can do thats real nice?

What about a ring of evasion? It's 20k, 10k if you make it.

Wizard (Abjurer) 3/Master Specialist 7
Anything that there is a save for partial or no effect does nothing to you on a successful save. Evasion + mettle basically.

Trying to qualify for the Magelord (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20050202a&page=2) PrC.

Looking at being a Changeling, either an adaptable spellslinger or a facedancing spy able to imitate many roles (looked at the Chameleon, but it seems a little underpowered if you don't optimize the heck out of it, especially at low[Chameleon] levels). Looking at Rogue/Cabinet Spy/Warshaper for the second option, anything else I should add?

Only if you cast an Abjuration spell. Read the description:

Each ability is triggered automatically when you cast a spell from your given school and lasts a number of rounds equal to the spell's level.

Nifty. Combine with Insightful Reflexes (Complete Adventurer feat; into replaces Dex in Reflex saves) and Keen Intellect (Oriental Adventures Ancestor Feat, Int replaces Wis for Will saves, plus a few skills) and all you need is Con and Int. Hmm...

Edit: Oh, you'll need to grab a few levels of Abjurant Champion in there some where so that Abjurations are quick and painless to cast....

So, either:
Wiz 3/Master Specialist 7/Ruathar 2/Abjurant Champion --

Would do it, rather painlessly. +3 Reflex jump, free martial weap prof. Even a minor skill boost for 2 levels and hit die boost.
Or, Wiz 3/Master Specialist 8/Abjurant Champion
With a feat dumped to get the proficiency or a race that gives it (Yay for gray elves?).

If you can convince your DM that Fractional BAB and Saves are good for him (loses you a few points of Will, though) you can do that with Abjurer-3/Master Specialist-7/Abjurant Champion-X.

Let's see... how many feats does this require?

Combat Casting for Abjurant Champion, a feat for Int to Will, a Feat for Int to Ref, Spell Focus for Master Specialist.... that's four. 1st, 3rd, 6th, 9th - we have the general case. An Elf of some stripe, or a human taking a martial weapon proficiency feat, can pull it off. Take your 12th and 15th for another Spell Focus, and Skill Focus(Spellcraft), and you can top it off with Archmage.

Convince your DM to accept Faeries Mysteries Initiate and you only need INT for everything.

Still need Con for Fort saves - it doesn't replace that; just HP.

... but that could make a Wizard into a veritable tank, couldn't it?
