well with the smoke effects in play, if you don't have smoke from you to me look at this spoiler.

i begin in Y14, a spear in 1 hand, and a flask/vial in the other. I coat the spear with the vial and upon doing so, everything goes dark. w/in 20ft in all directions

i will drop the spear in Y14, and move to Y10. while moving i will draw out a javalin.

For smoke:

2 squares of smoke block LOS. This includes the final square you're looking in, but not the square you start from.

Thus, if I was in B12, I can see the whole board, because there's no more than 1 square of smoke between me and any square. However, most of the board gets concealment.

If you're in J12, you cannot see into B12, because you'd have to look through C12 and B12, and the two squares block LOS.

actually total defensive only gives a +2 bonus, you have a 10 touch AC, and therefore with total defensive, you have a 12 touch, which means that hit. unless there is something i am missing on your sheet.

I think that you are wrong there, because of this

You can defend yourself as a standard action. You get a +4 dodge bonus to your AC for 1 round. Your AC improves at the start of this action.

So, I think that it did miss, and I took no damage from your attack.

If you have some reason why this is not true, then please post it.
