Diary of the Dead is now out on DVD. This is a terrible zombie flick full of terrible dialog, horrible nonacting, idiot characters, and pointless filler narration. Unlike the previous entries which had a somewhat subtle underlying message, Diary spends 40 minutes ranting about the evils of government and the purity of MySpace. No really. The zombies are an afterthought. Die hard Romero fans should rent this just to finish the series, but by no means should anyone buy it. One viewing is plenty.
If you must see a new zombie movie, check out last year's Mulberry St. If you still insist on a zombie film shot in first person, check out REC.
