Crusaders get their last stance at level 14, right befroe they have access to level 8 stances. What the heck is up with that? Is it worth it to delay your progression by dipping in 2 levels of something else? Or what about taking the Martial Stance feat at level 15?

It's total bull that you can't trade up your Stances.

I'm of the opinion that they messed Crusaders up just like they did Warblades. Look at when Warblades get their stances...1 IL before they would qualify for the next highest level maneuvers. I believe one of the devs of ToB even came out and said that they goofed, but it never made errata (gotta love WotC like that). Just do what ever you want it with, bump it back a live, give em another stance at like, 19-20, whatever.

Huh, and here I thought those stances were there to give you incentive to take the Martial Stance feat as an initiator class.

It encourages dipping. Makes Ruby Knight Vindicator awfully (more) attractive, imo.

Every martial character needs a 2 level dip in Fghter for that reason.

I'd rather dip cleric, and go into RKV. Or any sort of lawful deity vindicator. It's like warpriest, but good.
