I am thinking about setting up a webcomics contest where artists would compete to develop the best storyline for a corporate mascot. We are in a very early stage of thinking about this, so not a lot of details have been fleshed out, though we do have some art samples of the mascot. Is advertising available on this website? If so, how much would it cost to advertise a contest like this on this website for, say, three months?

I'm not sure he said "never" so much as "as long as I can avoid doing so and continue to feed myself," but yes, the sentiment is the same. There is not currently advertising for sale at this website.
