I guess this will be answered when I get my books in a couple of days, but I had a question about the Pally's divine challenge that I was hoping someone could answer:

As I understand it, you divine challenge a monster, and then it has to come fight you or face consequences. But you have to face it, too, and if you end your turn without being adjacent to it or having attacked it, the spell ends. My question is, which turn are we talking about? The turn in which I cast the spell or the turn that follows?
if I cast divine challenge at some monster that's far away and then strike at a monster in front of me, that breaks the spell, right? What if I strike the monster in front of me and then cast divine challenge on the monster far away?
Anyone play 4e yet who is clear on this?
a friend of mine thinks the penalty damage doesn't come in until you've 'made good on the promise,' and end the turn next to the marked creature. But I don't think that's how this is working.
