View Full Version : Adventures Updated for 4E?

I know, I know, there are a lot of 4E threads out there already, but I didn't really see anywhere this would fit.

A while back, I remember reading that WotC is going to convert the old Against the Giants series to 4E, and I can't seem to find the article. Either way, I'm not so much looking for info about that particular adventure, but really just wanted to know whether it mentioned them updating other adventures to 4E.

Once I get my hands on the books (which should be in the next 12 to 16 hours), I'm gonna start converting Red Hand of Doom. If it turns out well, I've been thinking of posting it here or maybe submitting it to Dungeon, but I didn't want to do either of those if they're already planning an official update anyway. Anyone know anything about an official update of RHoD, or any other adventures for that matter?

[Also, would posting an update of the adventure (which would mostly just be throwing in some skill encounters and changing stats for NPCs) be against any rules here? I don't know if it would be breaking any sort of copyright, and I don't feel like doing that if I can help it.]

This is probably a bit beside the topic, but you might be interested in this (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/drfe/20080530a) article of Dragon.

Pro Tip: DDI has the second-most pathetic login wall I've ever seen. To get past it, append "&authentic=true" to any login-only URL. Like this: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/drfe/20080530a&authentic=true

Not exactly what I was looking for, but an interesting read. UPS still hasn't delivered my stuff (even though it left their building, which is only about 12 miles away, this morning at 5:30), but I guess I'll still give updating a go when I get a chance. I think I can do some cool stuff with minions, but I've got to check out the Dragons first (since, you know, they're kind of an integral part of the RHoD adventure).

I have a login, but let me tell ya, that is pretty pathetic.

BWA HA HA HA!

edit: I realize that it's unlikely, but possible this is intentional. One would think that if they really wanted everyone to see the information, one wouldn't require a login, but it could be weird marketing logic.
