Ok well I am working on a semi-Gish Dwarven fighter. The idea is that we do have a full arcane caster, a fighter, a cleric, and a rogue (we justed added a party member and he decided to play a fighter, well I began competing with him and kinda screwed up a solo mission and got myself killed, and they don't know it). So I felt a need to at least supplement the fighter, but wanted some arcane power behind myself. So I am level ten and here is the current look of my build.

1 Wizard Focused Specialist Abjuration
2 Wizard
3 Fighter
4 Wizard
5 Wizard
6 Runesmith
7 Edritch Knight
8 Abjurant Champion
9 Abjurant Champion
10 Edritch Knight

I am looking at taking all 5 levels in Abjurant Champion, with the full BAB and the extended quickened shield that totals at a +9 shield bonus to AC as the goal from that PrC. The runesmith level is purely so that I have NO arcane spell failure, put the runes on my armor for all I care, I'll wear fullplate and carry some axe probably. Maybe the Dwarven Fighter Sub level so I have Axe Focus with all axes. Atm I am losing 2 caster levels and some my BAB is kinda lacking, well majorly lacking but is it possible that I will be able to stand my ground with the fighter, and toss some power around next to the Sorcerer?

Oh my banned schools are Necro, Illusion, and Evocation. All my first level spells will probably be prepared as Shield... and Mage Armor is not happening because it is not effected by Ab Champ, the mention of it was errated...

Is there any reason to mix up Abjr Champion and Eldritch Knight at this level? Sounds like you'll get more class features and caster levels just going Abj Champion as far as you can. When you finish it, start picking Eldritch Knight. (Or, find something better, maybe a ToB dip followed by some Jade Phoenix Mage)

I would maybe switch up your progression and see about adding a level of Spellsword from Complete Warrior for a nice +1 bab/+1 cl/+2 fort and will boost.

My suggestion:
Fighter 1 (for max hp)/ Wizard 4/ Runesmith 2/ Spellsword 1/ Abj Champ 2
Gets you 7 bab, 9 cl... just a thought

OR

If you DM will allow you to use Fraction Base Saves variant (Unearthed Arcana)...

Fighter 1/ Wizard 5 (bonus feat!)/ Runesmith 1/ Spellsword 1/ AC 2
Gets you a wiz bonus feat and same 7 bab, 9cl

This is more like it I guess:
1 Wizard Focused Specialist Abjuration
2 Wizard
3 Fighter
4 Wizard
5 Wizard
6 Runesmith
7 Runesmith
8 Abjurant Champion
9 Abjurant Champion
10 Abjurant Champion

Why are you going wizard first?

Do you not use fractional base attack/saves? (Most groups in my experience do; it just makes multiclassing so much cleaner.) If you do, swap a Wizard level for your second Runesmith level.

And don't take the Fighter substitution level. It's absolute rubbish.
