The Race

As a race, the brood are a peaceful people who rarely venture far from their homes. Many of the brood lack the intrinsic transformation abilities of their highly lauded Warriors, and this realization quickly disillusions most travelers into their lands who've heard of their legends. The brood are, on the surface at least, no different than your average human. Their bodies are relatively the same size, height, and weight with as much variation as one can expect in humans. Their hair is a bit different, as brood are traditionally blue, green, or even purple-haired rather than the black, red, and gold of humans.

As a society, brood are very human in their dealings with other races. They keep to themselves, deal only with other races when they feel appropriate, and pride themselves on their culture and government. However, brood do things on a much slower scale than humans due to their expanded lifespans. A single brood can live for a hundred years after reaching adulthood and still be considered young among their kind. Some even speculate that a brood Warrior would be immortal until he is killed in battle. Of course, that assessment is impossible to prove as Warriors fight at every available opportunity.

Many brood intrinsically believe in doing the "right" thing over the "just" thing. As such, they tend more toward Chaos than Law, and Good than Evil. Any brood is obviously able to make their own decisions, and their beliefs can change as commonly as human beliefs. More importantly, however, the brood mindset is devoted toward doing things eventually rather than immediately. Because of that, brood take their time in doing things and much prefer doing things right the first time rather than going over it again and again to fix it. Further, brood are naturally pacifistic and worry themselves more about the state of others than themselves.

As a creature, the brood breeds, builds, and learns much like a human. From conception to birth, brood take no longer than your average human. However, brood are never born in twins or larger, and any pregnant brood will always carry only one child. brood grow rapidly through their initial developmental stages. A brood takes anywhere between twenty to twenty two years to fully grow and mature to the physical state they would keep for the rest of their lives. When a brood enters her Adult stage--the stage of development after their Growth stage--her body will not change or age until the day she dies. An average brood will live anywhere from two hundred years to three hundred years beyond their growth stage, at which point they will seek out a youngling to pass on their knowledge to before death.

Brood as Characters

+2 Constitution, -2 Strength. A brood's dense bones and sturdier organs make them more hardy than your average human, but their muscular structure is much weaker.
Medium: As Medium creatures, brood have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Brood base land speed is 30 feet.
1 extra feat at 1st level.
Eternal: Once a brood child has exited her growth phase, the child will age significantly less quickly than an average human. Brood have no penalties for advanced age, and subsequently gain no benefit from being older than normal. A Venerable brood is as spry and strong as the day she was born. Brood can be magically aged, but it imposes no penalties upon them.
Automatic Language: Draconic. Bonus Languages: Any (other than secret languages, such as Druidic).
Favored Class: Brood Warrior. A multiclass brood’s fighter class does not count when determining whether he takes an experience point penalty for multiclassing.

Brood Warrior

This may be old fashioned to you.. But it's the only thing I know how to do, OK? - Gaist, before his death at the hands of a warrior.

A warrior among the brood is a rare thing indeed. Many brood are naturally pacifists, but this trait is almost nonexistent within a warrior. They are fighters naturally aligned with the strength and spirit of their goddess, Deis, who grants them a powerful ability to transform into draconic forms for short amounts of time. Strangely, however, a warrior is not limited to brood, as any creature tied closely to Deis is capable of using the Ascension ability. Humans, brood, and warforged are Deis' favored races as they are willing to use her given power to do something to change the world.

Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies
A warrior is proficient with all simple and martial weapons as well as Light and Medium armor as well as Light Shields.

Mana Points/Day
A warrior’s ability to transform is limited by the mana points he has available. His total number of Genes is given on the Table: Warrior. In addition, he receives bonus mana points per day if he has a high Wisdom score (see Table: Ability Modifiers and Bonus Power Points (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/classes/index.htm#tableAbilityModifiersandBonusPowerPoints )).

Ascension
A warrior's most powerful ability lies not in his sword, his ability to heal, or his ability to protect. It lies in his ties with the goddess Deis and her ties with the power of the dragon.

To transform, a warrior must take a full round action and expend a number of power points. When a warrior Ascends, he gains the following benefits and penalties:

You gain a number of temporary HP equal to one-half of his maximum HP.
You become small-sized.
Your base attack bonus becomes equal to your character level.
You gain a breath weapon that deals damage equal to 1d4 in a 30ft line. You gain an additional d4 per level in Brood Warrior. It's only usable every 1d4+1 rounds.
You gain a Bite Attack that deals 1d6+Strength Modifier points of Bludgeoning/Slashing/Piercing damage.

This basic transformation costs only 2 mana points, and lasts a number of rounds equal to double your class level(2 rounds/level). This basic transformation can be altered by Gene abilities. When you lose all the Temporary HP gained from this transformation, you also lose all other benefits from both your Transformation and any Dragon Genes.

When you are transformed, you lose access to your Heal and Protection abilities.

Heal [I, II, III, IV, V]
Through his connection with his goddess, the warrior gains the ability to heal the wounds of his allies through his touch. Each day, a warrior can heal a number of hit points equal to the number given multiplied by his Wisdom modifier. As a standard action, a warrior can heal himself, his allies, or any other creature with just a touch. A warrior must make an unarmed touch attack against an unwilling creature to heal it. This healing is direct divine energy, and can even heal undead or constructs without penalty. Healing an ally costs two times the number given in Mana Points.

Protection [I, II, III, IV, V]
By gracing his allies with his commanding presence, a warrior can imbue his allies with a boost in fighting ability. As a full-round action, a warrior can boost all allies within a 30ft radius with a feeling of righteous power. When the warrior opts to use this ability, he chooses one of the following effects to apply to his allies:

4+Charisma Modifier morale bonus to AC for 1/4th character level/rounds.
Temporary HP equal to the warrior's Charisma modifer multiplied by three.
2+1/2 Charisma Modifier morale bonus saves for 1/4th character level/rounds
Remove one effect out of the following: Fear, Stun, Dazed, Dazzled, Panicked, Shaken, or Sickened.

Warriors can use this ability a number of times equal to Charisma modifier per day.

Does useing multiple genes that gice the same stat bonus stack? do you become a larger dragon like in the game? when you use the force gene do you still become small sized? Do the genes require a certain level to use? How many genes can you use at once? :smallconfused: Other than these questions i think you did a good job.

1. Yes.
2. No.
3. Your size does not change.
4. No.
5. As many as you have mana to use, though using some together is redundant.

The Dragon Genes Flame and Radiance both have the power of flame.

Debby

In my Breath of Fire 3 game the Radiance gene deals Holy-type damage. As such, I stated it as Positive Energy damage.

EDIT: Threw up everything but Reverse and Failure. I'll get those finished later.
