I've been thinking of getting a Wii for a long time, but do not really have $250 dollars to spare. However looking on eBay, I see that there are unopened Wiis selling for about $100-$150. This seems too good to be true, and therefore, I am afraid that it isn't. Is buying one from eBay a good idea? How do people manage to sell a $250 game system for $102.50, anyways?

Looking further, I even see Wiis for twenty dollars...

It's a dream. Usually, items don't go up very often in price unless it's some where between 2-3 Days and a minute before the auction is off. However, this is about 1 and 1/2 years after the release of the system, so I might be wrong.

Good luck bidding!

So, they aren't scams they're just very, very hard to get? Thanks!

I would also be suspicious of those sorts of sales. I suppose all you can really do is check the seller feedback and see if they have many sales and if they seem reliable based on said reviews. If they are supposed to be unopened Wiis then its not likely a normal individual and most likely an ebay store-front and as such they should have a fairly long sales history.

The other major thing to check is the shipping. Some people sell $100 items for $1 but charge like $150 shipping.
