As the title says: what is your favorite music video? Post a link!

At the moment my favorite one is the Carnival of Rust by Poets of the fall: very Burton-ish, and the song sticks to mind.

So, so seconded. TMV has some pretty cool videos, and I've yet to see a /bad/ Gorillaz video. Mediocre, maybe, but none are bad. King Crimson's Sleepless is pretty awesome, and anything by Primus ties KoC. Claymation vids for the win!

The Estranged trilogy of videos and Thriller are, of course, :awesome: with a big smiley.

Then, there's the It's a Long way to the top (If you wanna Rock 'n Roll) by AC/DC, simply because seeing hard rockers playing along with bagpipes is the coolest thing since Ace of Spades.

There was also that completely kickass SOYCD fanvid which was more like a small movie (And it won prizes!), but I can't find it.

Something like 85% of the AMVs for my main anime fandom (Death Note) use the red filter like Tabasco. Most of the rest are comedies. That sliver to which neither description applies, wins my undying love.

Assume spoilers.

This one (http://youtube.com/watch?v=O4J98Ot_wQA) is my favorite of the approximately forty-seven thousand AMVs to "You Know My Name" by Chris Cornell. Honestly, I always thought the song had more to do with Death Note than with James Bond to begin with.

This one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzt3y1qIb8k) actually involves a song composed specifically for the occasion. It could have been sung with a bit more gusto, but you have to appreciate the amount of work put into it.

This one (http://youtube.com/watch?v=oSfNsn6_Bqc) makes extensive use of the red filter, but does it well. It also bears the mark of being one of the few AMVs where the rhythm was genuinely made more important than the lyrics. Awesomesauce.

And, from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, if you haven't seen this AMV (http://youtube.com/watch?v=mxRxpnHqfCE) to Welcome to the Black Parade, either you haven't seen Gurren Lagann or you just don't watch many AMVs (if the former, again, don't watch), but yeah - all the moments that made you cheer yourself hoarse and cry yourself dry, all there in a five-minute video.

Also from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, this one (http://youtube.com/watch?v=T0F1Do9cNYo) does a pretty fun poke at the Spiral King's minions minus Thimilyph. Made me laugh my arse off the first time 'round.

I'm not going to link Happiness in Slavery, but there you go.

I don't particularly like NIN, but I love the videos, and I love Bob Flanagan.

I also like the nasheed They have killed me .. (( a story of an addict )) (http://youtube.com/watch?v=yNOYDWc6bn0) by Zaid Al-Fawaz.

By state law (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63-VsPNUHss) each Californian household must own at least one Red Hot Chili Peppers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldMUEJBA1tk&feature=related) album. Or at least it seems that way.

But the Aquabats (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4tw6vBbwVY) and White Stripes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRDi67G0Siw) have some sweet videos.

Let it Roll - Little Feat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgmgErncC_A&feature=user) mostly because I want that (1933?) Ford Coupe.

I'll also agree that Sledgehammer is a great video.

And while this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW1toLy_FMQ) isn't an official music video, it's pretty awesome as well.

Sweet Lullaby -- Deep Forest (http://youtube.com/watch?v=vvnVdMpgQOk) always helps me feel good about the world.

The Girl and the Sea -- The Presets (http://youtube.com/watch?v=v7JOnV0nOog) lovely animation that enhances the song.

Solid Rock -- Goanna (http://youtube.com/watch?v=KV_0Mf9YcyA) for a straight performance video, I really like it.

Wow, lots of rock & metal, no hip-hop. I'll fix that. Now, don't get scared kiddies, I'm not going to post something by Fiddy or some rubbish like that, it's proper music. Just give it a chance :D

Flyentology (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dBqGINeDvg) by El-P featuring Trent Reznor (yes, Trent as in Nine Inch Nails Trent) is a good video.

Stepfather Factory (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Acgr18qpcPM&feature=related) again by El-P

None Shall Pass (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1u43KDiWD0&feature=related) is good because i'm a fan of both Aesop Rock & designer Jeremy Fish.

And last but not least: Casting Agents & Cowgirls (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JItQ4Kg5Zy8) by Busdriver.. because it's Busdriver, and he's insane, but well, he's Busdriver :D

Blech, MTV >_<

Even though I can't stand watching most music videos...

The Smashing Pumpkins have made the most amazing ones I have ever seen.

"Tonight, tonight", "33", "Ava Adore", "Disarm", "Stand Inside Your Love", "Zero" are all really great.

And Primus does make some good ones. Humorous and wacky at the very least :D.

Mostly tied to a good first impression. Crazy, Aerosmith. It might just be because I had a crush for her though. The video isn't that amazing after all....(best shot of Lyv's hind-dom, when she is refueling the car)
