Really. I can't find anything that sums it up better than that.

I happen to live in Northern California, and there have been a couple fires in the mountains near me recently. Anyway, I was hanging out with my friends today, and I looked out the window, and the sun was red. Red. The sky was cloudy, probably ash and smoke, some of it, and it looked awesome. Awesome and slightly scary.

However, now that it's sunset-ish time, I was sitting at my computer looked out the window, and it was like looking at everything through an orange filter; EVERYTHING was tinted orange. The sky, the the ground, my windows, people's cars, everything. Orange.

And it's the way that I'd never believe if I didn't see it myself. Really. F*****g. Orange.

EDIT: I got desperate, went and searched again, and found one of those cheap kodak cameras. Mechanical scroll, film, need to get it developed, yata-yata-yata. However, there were a few pictures left on it, so I took them. I'll try and scan/upload/post them if I get them developed. (With my memory, it's a fifty-fifty chance.)

It's because it's Friday the 13th. You've just been the first to notice the sun has exploded. Notice how it's all dark now? Sun's gone. :smalltongue:

Seriously, I've seen something like that before. Yeah, it's been all smoky around here recently. I don't like fire. >.<

But I'm in Southern California. That's just what happens during the summer. =/

California in flames again? When will you people realise that the state itself is sentient? The whole place is determined to kill everyone who lives there with fire, floods, earthquakes, storms, etc.

I know, but I live near Santa Cruz! Hippy-town! You think California'd cut us some slack!

I vaguely worried that the camera won't actually have picked up all the colors or something. (cheeeeeap) I hope it will, however, and, when I get around to developing it, I'll upload them.
