Hey, friends, compatriots, comrades!
Got a need for some music.
If it refrences the supernatural in any way, I want to know about it. From Night on Bald Mountain's wordless demonicness to Witchy Woman, back to This is Halloween, if it mentions it, implies it, or anything else, I want it. Bring me your Love Potion #9's and your Black Magic Woman's, and help me out.
No matter the mood, tone, whatever, I'll find a use for it.

Well...

If you want superbnatural meaning, try some Black Metal. Like say... Tsjuder or Gorgoroth, Emperor? (not Cradle Of Filth! Please?)

Umm... Snow Patrol, Travis, Oasis, Stone Roses. Indie/Brit pop bands are also good for insparation.

Or... Prodigy. Some songs like Spitfire, or Smack My Bitch Up are great!
And also one of the most powerful songs ever writen my Nirvana, You Know Your Right.

Hope they are what you are looking for. And yes, I do have a VERY varied music taste :smalltongue:

Dream Theater has a bunch of supernatural themes: Metropolis Pt. 2, Forsaken, and In the Presence of Enemies are standouts. There's good ol' Led Zep for some viking goodness (No Quarter, Immagrant Song), and The Mars Volta is easily the most satanic sounding music out there. (Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy/Casandra Gemini, and pretty much the whole album and song Frances the Mute).

There is only one piece of music I could possibly suggest to you. It is called "Libera Me From Hell", and sounds a hell of a lot better when heard in its natural habitat of Gurren Lagann.

I find alot of songs by Skillet, Relient K, Casting Crowns, and Disciple inspirational. They're all Christian rock though, (Casting Crowns might not be rock actually... but its still Christian) so it may not fit what your looking for.

In what way does the Christian Religion not reference the supernatural?

The Planets, by Gustav Holst, is a very Sci-Fi piece of classical music; listening to it brings to mind lots of Star Wars esque imigary. Its also the best set of classical pieces ever written.
Donals Fagen's album Kamakiriad is a smooth RnB futuristic concept album. That might qualify.
Dream Theater's A Change of Seasons qualifies, no doubt.
Karn Evil 9, by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer is a phenomenal 35 minute sci-fi epic, and music fans of any sort should be required to listen to it.
King Crimson's first four albums are great soundtracks for intense political intrigue at it's quite parts; in it's higher decibel points, it evokes brutal and gruesome war. Albums five through seven are more evocative of planets colliding and reforming; the gods were listening to Red when they shaped the world. All of their albums after that: music for schitzos with style. :smallcool:

Imperial March (or Vader's Theme as it is commonly called) is my offical brand of inspirational music. Check out this fan-made music video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=L8ZTTsiJupo)(very well done):

This'll sound odd, but I find Jukebox Hero by Foreigner to be very inspirational.

No link because I'm horrible at HTML/Board-fu. But easily found on youtube.

Voodoo Child by Jimi the H.
Ghost Riders in the sky just sounds cool and has the word ghost in the title.
Night of The Slunk by Buckethead has a very somewhat creep supernatural feel to it

Dead Mans Party by Oingo Biongo (my favorite)

I second the suggestion of Jukebox Hero by Foreigner.

Anything by Queen is inspirational, bonus points if it's the live version.
