I am looking for some good fluff on Spell research and Creation.

How do you play out a Wizard creating a new spell?

Math? Geometry? Physics?

Waving their arms about above their head hoping to stumble upon a somatic component?

Please give me your fluff take on how a new spell is learned/researched/created

Thanks a bunch

It's just a jump to the left...

Just have the wizard gather up arcane energies, sculpt them according to known magical laws, say some bad Latin, and eventually, come up with a new spell.

Well, most of the spell is what's on the page, right?
That's where the science of it is.
Goign through books of glyphs and sigils and how they interact, and then working the rest out from there.
