the challenge is to make a character build, DnD only, that goes faster than 774.4 feet per round...

Bonus points to anyone who understands why this is important...

rules...
no pun-pun or obvious breaking of the game...only land speed or flight speed count and remember terminal velocity is not feasable for this..

You need to hit 150 feet per move action to reach your goal (if you take the run feat).

Monk 18 gets you a speed bonus of 60 per move action. Air Elementals have a base speed of 100.

So Monk 18 PaO into a small Air Elemental. With the run feat you get a fly speed of 750 feet per round (perfect maneuverability). Now throw in the Sorcerer/Wizard spell Fly Like an Arrow (Dragon #308). It allows you to fly 10 times as fast.

So thats 7,500 feet per round.

Now why did you want to hit 774.4 feet per round?

Easy. Fall!

The hard part is getting the 1.21 gigawatts.

Get a someone to cast Lightning Bolt on you. Or cast Summon Libyan Nationalist Plutonium. The question is, where do you get the flux capacitor from?

Really high Knowledge and Craft checks? Also, if you get checks that high, you could probably make a Mr. Fusion as well and not worry about where the energy's coming form.

Fusion reactor? Flux capacitor? Plutonium?

You guys are overthinking this.

It's just a jump to the left...

Don't forget the hitting your head on a toilet circumstance bonus.

Discharge persistent Footsteps of the Divine.

That. Also, be a Cheetah. This way, you can easily surpass the speed of light, turn back the clock and remake the universe.

Pretty much. It's a rather specific number, and 774.4 feet per round times 600 rounds per hour divided by 5280 feet per mile gives 88 miles per hour with some fairly simple math (well, simple if you have a calculator handy anyway), and we all know what that number means.
