Puff Slaadi are a larval form of Slaad. At this point in their life cycle, they are neither wholly real or non-existent: they are pseudoreal and incorporeal, on the very cusp of coming into being. Puff Slaadi arise from the raw chaos of Limbo, coming into being through sheer coincidence and chance. Only Slaadi born on Limbo go through the Puff Slaad form; those that are created as a result of the slaadpox disease go straight to a mature form. Puff Slaadi are whimsical and oft-times malevolent, and those that dwell in the Material Plane are often mistaken for poltergeists by the range of their activity. Puff Slaadi resemble fat, translucent toads, though they stand upright at about the size of children. They have disproportionately large eyes and jaws, which are always in a grim smile.

Slaadspores (Su)
As a standard action, a Puff Slaad can shake loose a small cloud of pseudo-real spores of chaotic energy. All non-Slaadi within 10 ft. of it must make a DC 11 Fortitude save or be contaminated with the slaadspores, taking a -1 penalty on attack rolls, saves, skill checks, and ability checks until the end of their next turn as chaos courses through their bodies. Once a Puff Slaad has used its slaadspores, it must wait 3 rounds before it can use them again. The save is Charisma-based.

Whimsy (Sp)
A Puff Slaad can use dancing lights, ghost sound, mage hand, and prestidigitation at will, caster level 1st.

Spider Slaadi, also known as Hunter Slaadi, are creatures that occasionally result when another slaad attempts to reproduce by means of the slaadpox virus. While the resulting slaad is usually a perfect copy of the original, sometimes the process is flawed, resulting in the creation of a Spider Slaad. Spider Slaad have a slender, squamous body with four arms and four spindly legs. Their joints are extremely flexible—a Spider Slaad can rotate its head or any of its limbs in a full circle. Spider Slaad are remarkably unintelligent and devote most of their lives to hunting down prey, dousing it with chaos slime and eating it. While native to Limbo, most Spider Slaadi inhabit the Material Plane, as their creation requires a mortal to be infected with slaadpox.

Breath Weapon (Su)
As a standard action, a Spider Slaad can breath out a 15 ft. line of chaos slime. Chaos slime is a protean substance that constantly shifts form between a corrosive acid, a burning gel, a freezing liquid, and electrified slime. All creatures in the line take 1d12 damage of a randomly determined energy type—acid, cold, electricity, or fire. The energy type is determined separately for each creature. A DC 15 Reflex save halves the damage. Once a Spider Slaad has used its breath weapon, it must wait 5 rounds before it can use it again. The save is Constitution-based.

Spider Climb (Ex)
A Spider Slaad can climb shear surfaces, as the spider climb spell.

Skills
A Spider Slaad has a +8 racial bonus on Escape Artist checks.

Doppelslaadi are a bizarre slaad mutation, created by the infinite chaos of Limbo. Doppelslaad are inherently unstable in their construction, and will split and replicate into multiple copies at the lightest provocation. An adventurer faced with a single Doppelslaad may soon find himself fighting an entire gang of them. Doppelslaad are also known as Moss Slaad for the dark green ooze they secrete, and have the distinctive squamous features common to other Slaadi. Doppelslaad tend to be more cautious than most of their kin, but once in battle, they fight fiercely and with more concerted effort than one would expect from an exemplar of chaos.

Gang Up (Ex)
Whenever two Doppelslaad flank a creature, they gain a +4, rather than a +2, bonus on attack rolls, and deal +1d6 extra damage on all attacks against the flanked creature.

Split (Ex)
Whenever a Doppelslaad is dealt more than 5 points of damage from any source, it splits into two identical copies. The hit points of the original are split evenly between the copies, and any effects or abilities affecting the original also affect the copies. The copies themselves can also split, though a Doppelslaad with less than 5 hp cannot split.

Purple Slaadi are deceptive creatures—while they appear huge and hulking, they actually have very little physical strength, most of their body mass being fat. Their real power is in their lungs—Purple Slaad can store tremendous amounts of air in them, and then fire it out in a focused burst of sound, known as a sonic shout. Purple Slaad have a huge, spherical body about ten feet in diameter with a neckless, disproportionately large head perched on top. They have two overgrown fore-arms that they often use for balance, and three tripod-like legs that they scuttle about on. Purple Slaadi are bellicose, and will often attack with little or no provocation.

Sonic Shout (Su)
As a standard action, a Purple Slaad can scream, firing a 30-ft. cone that deals 2d12 sonic damage to all creatures caught in it, Fortitude DC 18 half. In addition, creatures that fail their save are pushed back 5 ft. for every 5 points of damage they took. Once a Purple Slaad has used its sonic scream, it must wait 5 rounds before it can use it again. The save is Constitution-based.
